My mom will be helping me with my kids next week and I'd like to take each kid on an individual "date" with me for some one-on-one time. This is something I always want to do, but rarely can work it out. Share any ideas you have that we could do! My kids are 11 (boy), 8 (girl) and 6 (boy). I'll probably have 2-3 hours with each kid. Still trying to avoid crowded indoor activities. Thanks for your ideas!

We used to do this and are excited about getting back into it. We have done ropes courses; trips to a museum, zoo, or fun park (like with go karts or mini golf; spent time working at food pantries; gone to a baseball or soccer game; gone to some kind of cooking class; swam at a local lake.
I hope you guys have fun. I know how hard it can be to carve out some one on one time with each kid.

I have an IOU to take my 10 year old go-carting. There’s a track and other fun games and stuff to do at a nearby pier. I might take him on the roller coaster there, too.
af1212, we make a day of going to the outlet mall about 2 hours away and having lunch and just a whole day of shopping. We haven't done it in almost 3 years. DD used to be my awesome shopping buddy but between covid and her being a picky tween shopping has become a nightmare. The kid store are too little kid and the stores geared towards the teens she just can't wear yet.
Depending on their ages, I like to let my kids pick. Last time, one picked a book store and sushi lunch and the other picked going out for fancy dessert and then to a coffee shop to "chat"
I’ve recently taken my 11 year old on a mom/son date to see a matinee of Black Widow. We’ve also gone to play mini golf and to the newly opened aquarium (ours is partially outdoors).
For my younger one, she’s only 3, so she’s thrilled with a trip to Baskin-Robbins or even Target to get a Bullseye cake pop then we go to the park.

I'm taking my DD this weekend for a Mommy Day. I am going to take her to breakfast, then some non critical shopping for a sweatshirt, head bands, panties and socks, then I'm going to let her pick something, and finish the day with hot chocolate (her new obsession) at a chocolate cafe.
