"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Guy watching me said... Are they pregnant with pizza?
So that's your n of 1 Malaysian response.
We got pretty bored. We were watching CBC, so of course there was a lot of focus on the Canadian team. Malaysia had I think 2 people, so we had to go to seek other sources to watch. They were all trying to wait for Malaysia but it was never showed. lobsol.

Canadian commentator kept saying Kiribati incorrectly. That pissed me off. If I have known how to say it for at least 15 years, he could learn to comment on it. Yeah, I get that it's strangely not phonetic, but, damn.

Your post inspired me to look it up. In case anyone else is curious:
The name Kiribati is the local rendition of Gilberts in the Gilbertese, or I-Kiribati, language, which has 13 sounds; ti is pronounced /s/ or like the word see—thus Kiribati, pronounced “Ki-ri-bas.”
I noticed a few logos, but not that one. I got flashbacks to the movie. Ouch. My balls!
Because I was watching with a Malaysian, I had to explain the various countries (that aren't officially recognized) and how smaller countries get people to compete for them. He constantly said "but she looks really white, how is she competing for an African country." Obvious reasons aside, like, she was born there, it was exhausting to explain how countries can set their own standards. Also, I think there's an international standard if your country is too small to have trials, but I might be wrong on that.
