My girl will be starting daycare in a few weeks and I'm wondering if anyone else used a separate bag for daycare or just left their diaper bag? I'll need to send diapers, wipes, a change of clothes and bottles.
We always had a daycare specific diaper bag or backpack. Most places had us bring it on Monday and take it home Friday (daily we’d bring a soft cooler bag with bottles).
We always had a daycare specific bag, but we had to take it home every day. I never had a bag That was exclusively a diaper bag at home though. I always used a bag that was my purse and diaper bag, so it made sense to get another bag for daycare.
Separate bag. Some days you'll be bringing in a whole sleeve of diapers, a re-supply of wipes, or your kid's fluffy winter coat. That plus the daily stuff like clothes, bottles, and solid food (eventually) is easier for me to manage in something bigger and less structured than a diaper bag.
I use a separate daycare bag, but it's not like a kid-specific bag. It's a zip top boat & tote canvas bag from LLBean that has my initials on it, it just happens to be what I use to cart the daycare stuff in on Monday and home on Friday.
I’ve never sent anything to daycare that I’d be sad to lose. So any bags, blankets, extra clothes, etc. are randoms I've had lying around the house, not our “everyday” stuff.
