Friday- rest day, but did lots of walking around Boston before the NKOTB concert!
Saturday- Went Axe throwing... that was a good arm workout!
Sunday- Went to get fitted for new running shoes. I was then going to go running in my new shoes from the store. BUT! I didn't get new shoes! I got inserts to go in shoes I have at home and was told not to run in the shoes I was previously fitted for and wore to the store. So, I will test out my new inserts tonight.
HMMM. One more week until the Falmouth Road Race! I was featured with the Flutie Foundation, as I am running the race for Dougie's Team to raise $$ for Autism. Their post said the race is 10 miles long and I panicked, because I thought it was only 7 miles... I am not trained for 10 LOL. I researched and I do believe the 10 miles was a typo. PHEW.
I have done this race 3 times before and it was always 7 miles.
Fri - lifted and rode the gym bike a short 5 mi Sat - ran 4 mi, gave blood, walked 1 mi with my older daughter Sun - 30 mins yoga and ran 3 mi with both kids. We’re trying to get them some base ahead of the cc season, and they both did great today.
Fri - 20 min run + HIIT strength and cardio Sat - 30 min Peloton cycle + 15 mile outdoor bike with H - this was more leisurely than if I was by myself Sun - 60 min Peloton cycle

Fri: Nothing/rest day Sat: 8 miles plus running errands Sun: 4 miles plus chores
It is 10am here and our feels like temp is 100* (and has been at that temp for at least the last hour). I stepped outside long enough to put some stuff in my car and when I came back in my hair was frizzy and I was sweaty. August heat is going to kill me.
Friday - shake out 3 mile run Saturday - Oly Tri! it was so much fun. Coming into T2 all I could think was, "oh thank god I DO remember how this works!!!" And then I got shitfaced drunk (not planned...locals at the bar kept buying us shots and there was insufficient dinner and...yeah. things went a little sideways) so... Sunday - nothing. lots and lots of nothing.
I'm still tired and my stomach doesnt' feel quite right. After a hot sunny race, and then all that alcohol I'm sure i"m still dehydrated. So glad today is a rest day.
