My husband just rearranged the furniture in our main area. He has mentioned thus layout several times, and each time I’ve explained why I’m against it. So he just did it. I guess to prove me wrong. I am unreasonably angry given what this actually is. But I am PISSED.
And I explained my non-negotiable (which is theis bookcases I’m using as a room dividers above the sunken sun room). And he hasn’t even moved them back. And, sure enough, as I was calmly explaining my issue, I almost fell down the stairs.
edit: how long has it been since I posted? H finally sat on the couch to watch TV, and said “now that I’m sitting here, this doesn’t work.” Also, when I said calmly, above, I want irritated, but really was trying to keep calm.
MH put on some documentary about Woodstock ‘99. At the time (I was 16) I remember thinking this was the coolest thing in the world and I was *definitely* going to do stuff like this when I was 18+.
And now I’m watching this and just thinking OH NO EWWWW during the whole thing.

We watched this too. I was 14 in the summer of 99 and thought it looked rad. But yes the entire thing was gross and mishandled.

We had just started the movie when I posted this and we were basically only up to the bits about the overpriced water and the nonfunctioning bathrooms. It just got more horrifying as it went on. And I wanted to drop kick that POS organizer who kept blaming the rock stars and the women for all the issues.

I went to plenty of two-/three-day parties in my day, and they were nothing like this. The organizers should be ashamed of themselves.
My parents used to drag us kids to multi-day reggae fests in VT and upstate NY. Young me was so embarrassed by all of the olds partying (which now that I think about it, most people were probably in there 20s and 30s).

We watched it too. My husband was all “yup, there’s the start of QAnon”
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
We went to a crab feast with my in-laws at a local private Polish club. It was actually a good time but MAN you should have seen people go crazy for Sweet Caroline. 😂

My imagination is running wild with this. It totally sounds like my jam!

Is that like a Moose lodge for Poles, or something else completely? I’m so intrigued.
