We are building a new house with all hardwood floors and wondering what type of vacuum system would be best. We will have area rugs in the bedrooms and living room. We have always had a central vacuum system but seems like it may be overkill if we don’t have any wall to wall carpets in the house.
We bought a house with a central vac, but I've actually never used it, lol. (It's been <2 months.). We put in HW floors and primarily use a Shark Rocket cordless pet vac, since dog hair is our biggest nemesis.
I run our robot vacuum every morning. It's kept our hardwood cleaner than anything. It catches more dust than I ever sucked up with a regular vacuum. I think because it goes more slowly than I tend to race through the house with a vacuum?
