For some time, Chasten and I have wanted to grow our family. We’re overjoyed to share that we’ve become parents! The process isn’t done yet and we’re thankful for the love, support, and respect for our privacy that has been offered to us. We can’t wait to share more soon.
How exciting for him! Hopefully he's talking about a real baby/child and not a new puppy or something

Chasten shared the tweet on IG with a baby bottle emoji so it sounds like baby to me!

They already have 2 pups. This is def a human child 👪
They've apparently been working with an adoption agency for a year and were open to both emergency placement and being chosen by a birth mother in advance for placement.
Guessing that this is a combination of getting placement but not having the adoption finalized yet and wanting to respect their child's privacy.
Pete and Chasten have adopted two babies! (I initially referred to them as twins but I think that's incorrect since the article doesn't refer to them that way).

A friend of mine growing up ended up with two babies at the same time. They were pursuing adoption and were chosen by two mothers. Given the probability of one deciding to parent, they stayed with both and ended up with a pair of boys born two days apart 🥰
no idea if that is what happened here though. Just an example of non-twins adoption “twins”

Not the same, but our friends were chosen by a mom to adopt their first, and she had a second child specifically for them to give their first son a biological brother. ❤️
I was an adopted only child that sooooo wanted a sibling. Funny story, I use to ask my parents for an older brother. That “chosen one” mythology they used in the 70s sure backfired on them 😂😂
