Today was the first day and I sent her with three. She requested a fourth from now on. We also do a lanyard, and it worked well today for recess, lunch, and PE when they are allowed to take them off.

My boys are in first grade and TK this year. They wear their masks unless eating or drinking (they are allowed off when outside but I don’t want to take any chances since DS2 has asthma). The both wear their mask to school with a lanyard and have 2 backups (they have yet to use the backup even though DS1 has come out with a super gross mask a couple times…I have reminded him to stop putting it in his mouth). The lanyard is helpful but I think they could both do well without it (DS1 usually just pulls it down to his chin anyways).

My kids have been in masks in preschool and summer school all day and we send them with one on and have a spare in their backpack. They’ve never worn the spares.
We are done with our first week of k and my son has one mask for school and ~ 5 in his backpack. He doesn't seem to care about replacing them throughout the day. I wrote his name on a few of them, but honestly, I don't expect anyone to be returning us lost masks.
He has done shockingly well, I guess at 5 all he has known is you wear masks when you turn 5.
I send one per day with backup in his backpack. The school also has child-sized disposables everywhere. We use mask lanyards, which work great for lunch/recess. I do not label them, but I sew all my son's masks, so they are pretty unique. Honestly though, they only take the masks off for lunch and recess and it's on the lanyard, so we do not lose them the same way a lot of other stuff gets lost. My DD prefers disposables, but she pretty much has the same thing going on (one mask in the morning, lanyard, extra in the backpack just in case).

Most of my students only bring one and if it’s gross and wet (or lost) after lunch I have a stash from the nurse to give out.
My own kid is a mask chewer so I have two bags in his backpack- clean and dirty. I usually have about 5 in the clean bag so I don’t have to check it every single night.
Then I have a mesh laundry bag stuck on the washing machine- our dirty masks go from our dirty mask bag into the laundry bag so I can easily add it when I do a load.
