DH and I were flipping through channels in our hotel room (in Iceland) and came across a show with a bunch of naked women on it. It’s apparently a dating show in which women are slowly revealed to a man from the feet up. It shows full frontal nudity. We were toward the end of the episode and the man came out fully naked once he had narrowed it down to two candidates. They also showed him fully naked.
According to Wikipedia, none of these people are compensated for participating. I am just so confused as to why one would voluntarily appear on a dating show completely naked.
It was so bizarre and kind of shocking. I don’t have a problem with nudity, per se, but it was just so outside the American norm.
We saw it while in Ireland, right before the show "Mums Make Porn." We saw both a male selection and female selection. I was not shocked at all at the interviews after the date where both decide to go their separate ways.
I suppose it is good for those that want to know right away if there is sexual chemistry. Not my jam, but interesting to watch.
Oh isabel! While in Iceland we came across some fun German game shows. And another show was like Amazing Race and Survivor combined, but where a group of people are flown blindfolded to random parts of the world to complete challenges. If you thought commercial flights suck, you'd laugh at the roller coaster car in a sardine can that these people get stuck in during travel.

I'm guessing that's the attraction for them. An exhibitionist dream. For the right narcissist, I'm sure they think it'll improve their odds afterwards - everyone will want them now that they've seen them.

I was shocked when I saw it too and it’s trash tv, but I really like that they have all shapes, sizes, ages and sexual preferences. I have no idea why anyone would sign up for it but it’s really good to see ordinary looking people confident enough to put themselves out there like that. Hats off to them!
Other cultures are WAY more comfortable with nudity than Americans are, and are able to see a naked body without necessarily sexualizing it.
When we lived in the UK we noticed way more nudity, minor sexual comments, and foul language in regular prime-time TV than we have in the US. They aren’t as concerned about children seeing that kind of content. They are, however, much more sensitive about violence in the media than we are.
