I posted a question about enrolling my kid in kindergarten or keeping him in preschool a while back. Turns out, there were a few schools in the district with a Young 5s program so he's doing that. Started this week with half days. He actually missed the first two because of a planned trip. Our district is masking and requiring all teachers and staff be vaccinated.
He was in school one half day and is now in quarantine until the 15th because a kid in his class tested positive.
That's 15 kids, two teachers and I know grown ups who are now SOL because too many people are choosing not to get vaccinated and letting the virus spread freely. I hope everyone else is hanging in there.
Well...this totally sucks, but do you know the parents are not vaccinated? There are tons of breakthrough cases going on. Also cases where the kids get sick but the parents do not. I hope your son stays healthy and the rest of the year will be better!!

Agreed. In many areas where delta is running rampant, there’s no moral failing in getting it. It is incredibly contagious.
(Unless you’re night clubbing massless every night and making out with strangers or something ridiculous like that)

Good point. Thank you for pointing it out. I edited. I'll just be mad that adults in general aren't getting vaccinated allowing this virus to transmit freely.
