I love looking at houses. Vacation planning is fun for me. A weird one that I didn’t expect is how much joy it brought me to watch my kids eat good, nutritious food that I prepared for them. It was such a primal satisfaction.
I want to take a trip to NYC and shop in a million independent grocery stores. I love them.
The grocery store situation is probably my top complaint about living here. Produce is usually very suspect and half the time I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. 😂
Which brings me to: farmer's markets. Throwing out stuff. I used to save every single paper from school as a kid. Now I get excited about going through stuff and trashing anything I don't actually need.
Matching running socks. I got a big pack of them when COVID started and now some of them have holes in the bottom, meaning they don't have a match. I run laundry almost every time I run, but rarely fold the same day...
I also get excited to see all the toys cleaned up off the floor. My 3 year old just dumps everything out, his 8 year old sister has a gazillion Barbies and dress up clothes... Now that they are back in school I have them clean up at night and now I just walk into the living room to enjoy the space!

I love all the specialty items and non-American flavors, the meat shops, etc.
There is a really delicious juice that comes from S. Africa that we love but only found in Boston and NYC here.

clean sheets, the first cup of coffee, no plans on a weekend night, sleeping in, meal planning. purging crap out of the house, a clean house, the smell of dinner in the crockpot. a night alone in the house when DH and the kids are gone
Clean sheets, coffee, getting rid of stuff, my organized cupboards and fridge, and eating vegetables. I was a super picky eater as a kid. now I'm only a little picky.
