I go every 6 weeks. I have a chin length bob with layers that requires a lot of upkeep. I don't color my hair.
I have thick hair and a LOT of it. I hate letting it get much more than an inch or so past my jawline. It's really hot and heavy when it's longer--although it's wavy and can be beautiful long. Too hot. Seriously, I lose weight when I get my haircut, or at least it feels like it.

About every 3 months I have the worst hair. It’s fine and thin and frizzy. It’s the color of asswater with a skunk streak of grey growing out of the top of my head. I highlight it and I’m 44 so it’s dry and dull and somehow prone to greasiness at the same time. It also grows super fast and gets scraggly in about 10 days. I hate it.
It's been well over a year since my last trim. My hair is long and i don't get split ends so I just make sure to use a deep moisturizer about once a month on the ends.
I think it will be a year in October for me. I stopped dyeing the gray almost 2 years ago and my hair is just at my bra strap. I don’t need to look professional for anything and do not use a blow dryer or any heat on it. If I get long bangs again I will go more often.
