The Midnight Library by Matt Haig - I enjoyed the alternate lives but the overall theme of the story was a bit too close to a self-help book for my taste.
Hour of the Witch by Chris Bohjalian - For some reason I had a hard time getting into this one. I just wasn't at all invested in the story and ended up skimming the second half.
Now I am reading Constance by Matthew FitzSimmons. I think it was a recent Kindle First? I'm halfway through and it's good so far.
QOTW: I don't want to host anything but I would love to be a member of the Jeopardy! Clue Crew.
I finished Survive the Night by Riley Sager, 1*, and The Drowning Kind by Jennifer MacMahon, 2*. I wanted a creepy Fall book, but was disappointed with both of these books. I am currently reading The Storied Life of AJ Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. I read somewhere that it's going to be made into a movie so I wanted to read it first.
QOTW: The Amazing Race I guess. I'd love the travel without the stress of competing.

I finished Damnation Spring by Ash Davidson, which was very good — I’d definitely recommend it. Not sure what’s next. I tried Lauren Groff’s new book, Matrix, but I don’t want to be in a poverty- and illness-stricken 1165 convent right now. The writing was lovely in 20 pages or so that I read, so I would guess it’s a good book. Just not the right moment for me.
QOTW: any of the food shows where I would get to taste deliciousness, ideally one of the baking ones — Cupcake Wars or Sugar Rush, something like that.
I read The Traveling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa. It was sweet.
Now I'm reading Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy.
QOTW: It's hard to imagine hosting anything since I hate being in the spotlight. If I had to pick something then I'd jump on charlatti's bandwagon and do something where the attention is more directed at the contestants and I'd get to eat yummy stuff.
I’m reading Red at The Bone and liking it so far. Listening to the Feather Thief and liking the latter half of it. Started out a bit slow but has gotten more interesting.
QOTW: probably price is right, always something new and different happening there
