My DH is bicycling in Wyoming for 10 days. I am home with the kids. I planned one night, to have my friend's over, tonight. Told the kids that I would not be available for them to do anything for them regarding getting them places, since my friends and I are having beers and chili. Of course, now they both have plans that require pickups. Thank goodness for friends, who will bring them home! Tomorrow, I am taking the kids to Hamilton, something we planned 2 years ago. We are all vaxed, and will wear KN95's, so it will be ok, but not the same. Sorry kids, no treats at intermission.

Someone just collapsed at the wedding we're at. Thankfully nearly all of the guests are scientists and doctors, but after chest compressions and and AED (that the facility took a very long time to retrieve), he was barely conscious when the ambulance arrived (42 minutes after 911 was called).

That’s quite a wedding memory. Glad to hear he’s responsive and hope everything is ok.
I have quite a few grandparent friends/classmates. I grew up in an area with a lot of teen pregnancies so it's not uncommon to see a new grandparent in their mid 30s. lol
DS’s 4th bday is in November and we’re taking him to the zoo in my college town. I really wanted to make a weekend of it, but I’m panicking over staying in a hotel. I would lysol the crap out of everything when I got there, but still anxious. What would you do?
I have booked motel style places and felt better about traveling.
I have had a headache since yesterday morning. I did a 20 min strength workout and a 4.5 mi walk with H and the dogs and washed our sheets & made the bed. And yet I still feel lazy about the fact that I just want to sit and watch Downton Abbey the rest of the day. wtf lol.

Why do people want to make things more difficult?
Xavier is on a soccer team. the soccer team has an app that is multipurpose. It has the calendar for games, the roster, a chat section, and important updates from the coach and what not. I like the app it’s user-friendly and there’s nothing complicated to it. Well one of the moms (who has deemed herself the “team mom“) has made a group chat and she added me to it. so now, in addition to the app, I have to get annoying group text messages. Just now, I’ve gotten 13 replies to “i made a new text message chat” 🤦🏻♀️
I’ve already put it on silent so I’m probably going to miss important formation. But why not have it on the app? The very purpose of the app is so that everyone can talk to one another without needing a text message group.

Theres a debate going on in a Facebook group about how only the Comirnaty is FDA approved, but the only one available is Pfizer so people cant be forced to take it. I pointed out that they're the same Pfizer is the manufacturer of Comirnaty and people are arguing with me. I don't argue on Facebook I thought it was genuine confusion which is why I said something. But omg it's two second Google search to see that. For people that "do their own research" it is *shockingly* lacking.
I feel like DH is having a grief competition right now and I am really trying not to rip his head off.
But DUDE, I have lost pets before this, I know how it goes. I also know that our kid still has school tomorrow and our house is a mess. So please don't @ me because I'm doing some laundry and ran the vacuum. That doesn't mean I still don't expect her to come around the corner or be sitting at the front door.
I am tired. My divorce is sucking balls. Selling my house sucks. I just can't wait for all of this to be done.
Hey hi if you’re the original goab! Sorry the divorce and house selling is sucking. I hope things improve quickly. And I hope the little ones are doing well.

What the fuck is wrong with people.
Is the coach on the group chat? Cause if not, I’m guessing it’s so that super mom can bitch about the coach behind their back.

The people who say “do your own research” would fail my intro class’s research paper, without a doubt.

I don’t think the coach is on it. I don’t know bc they’re just nameless numbers. Kid sports are the worst. I just want to show up, have my kid play, come home. That’s it. I don’t need to talk to anyone.

This is on every military covid vaccine thread I’ve seen. It boggles the mind how stupid people are.

Lol that is the exact group and reason it came up. Like your spouse is going to look dumb AF fighting leadership that they won't get it because it's not FDA approved because you don't understand the difference between brand and vaccine name.
Yesterday I showed DD "The Mask of Zorro," because it's an awesome movie. She initially wasn't interested, but then I showed her a picture of Catherine Zeta Jones, and she was cool with it. Not only did she love it, but after the fact, she came to the realization that she might be a lesbian (instead of bi, as she initially thought), because she really just has zero interest in the men in movies or the boys at school.
My response: you're just figuring this out now? I've suspected for the last 6 or so months. DH came down and she told him. He responded the same way. She texted her friends, and they responded the same way. Just now, she told my MIL and she responded the same way.
Evidently, DD was the only person who knows her well who didn't know/suspect she was a lesbian.

When my friend Brian came out, the general response from our whole group of friends was, “no shit, Bri.” We all knew haha

My bff from childhood is at the emmys right now because her husband is nominated for an award (the ceremony for the extra awards not the televised one next weekend). I am so insanely proud of them I can’t stop smiling.

I don’t think most of them would pass *MY* “research” project and I teach 6th grade! I use “research” lightly because most 6th graders aren’t doing real research anyway!

I don't doubt it. I don't think some of them could read Green Eggs and Ham and finish with the conclusion that Sam had one opinion but in the end changed it to infact like green eggs and ham.
