I know we can bring in refillable water containers into the park, but I thought I saw/heard that refill water stations aren't available. Are they now available? If not, why bother with bringing them? I know you can get free water cups at any restaurant, but was looking for a back up plan.
We always get the free ice water cups from the quick service places and pour them into our metal water bottles so that they stay colder longer, and so they're easier to carry around in lines, etc.
Don't take metal bottles, plastic only! They changed security and no longer do bag checks. It is amazing and so much faster, but metal bottles will set off the alarm and you'll have to go into a very long bag check line. It will really slow down the process of getting through security.
My family always takes a 3L CamelBak bladder in a back pack and we refill as needed when we eat. We have ice cold water all day and just carry it around in a backpack. It works well for us.

Thank you for letting me know. I was planning to bring metal ones.

my husband and i didn't have any issues with the metal water bottle when we went in June. I think the security guards have gotten good at recognizing the shape of the bottles... becasue when my son and i went in February, right after they started using the metal detectors, we got stopped because of the metal water bottle. (but luckily crowds were SUPER low then, so it wasn't a big deal at all) But when i was back there again in june, even though the thing went off they could see the shape and just said "metal water bottle? you're good to go..."
