I like what you picked! FWIW, I dislike overhead lighting outside of kitchens, bathrooms, and eating areas so we never use the recessed lights or fan light in our LR. I did buy a new fan for the LR and chose one with a light but we won't use it. Lamps are much more pleasant.

I love the fan! I'm totally pro fun and pretty fans like the one you chose but it's just not something that can happen in our house. Would something like cable or track lighting work for overhead lights? We're doing cable in our kitchen for some down/task lighting, and there were a lot of options for light styles (in the same plane as the cables, pendant, spot, etc).
