And 8 days in the neurology ICU. All non COVID related.
Was diagnosed with myasthenia Gravis back in May and went into crisis on Friday (where your muscles that control breathing and swallowing just become to weak to function). So that was pretty terrifying. Literally almost died, so pretty thankful to still be around. The team at University of Chicago is incredible.
I’ve been moved to the regular neuro floor and still have some PT and RT work to do but I hope to be home in a week or so.
So, that’s what’s new with me!
Quick update, I was released today and after 12 days I'm finally home! Feels so good! Thank you all for the T&Ps, it means so much.
Oh my goodness! That must have been so scary. I hope the next week sees improvement for you and that it passes quickly for you so that you can get back home. ❤
Oh no, that must have been so terrifying for you and your family. I’m so sorry. I’m glad you’re on the mend and I hope you’re able to head home as expected.
That had to be a terrifying experience, I'm so sorry. I hope your family has been able to visit/be in touch, and that you are out of there as soon as you can be.
