Help please! We are going for 3 days in January. I’m trying to figure out how to actually book it. It seems to get the discounted rates you have to book all the days together with the same schedule. Which is dumb, and there must be a better way. I’m sure I am doing something wrong.
Anyway, once I figure that out, I’m thinking first day is DL only, then two days of park hopper, with day 2 starting at CA and day 3 starting at DL. Does it really matter? The kids are 4.
I personally would do 2 days at Disneyland and 1 at DCA.
But your plan is fine. I don’t really think it matters all that much which park you start at. DCA does get less crowded after 1 PM when park hopping starts though.
If you’re planning on Webslingers you can now try for the 7 am group before you’re scanned into the park.

I've started booking our spring break trip and for tickets 2 days or more it looks like you either add park hopper to the ticket as a whole or not - you don't add it for 2 out of 3 days. For us it's $60 more for Park Hopper vs one park for a 2 day ticket.
I would stick with your plan of starting the first day at DL, second at DCA, third at DL.

Yep, I ended up just adding park hopper for all and alternating starting location. Then we have options! At least they let you easily pick the park hopper starting location
