I finished The Guide by Peter Heller and Defending Britta Stein by Ronald Balson. Both are 3*. I will start Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica tonight.
QOTW: A couple pomegranate Bai. I'm currently craving it.
I'm reading Once There Were Wolves and struggling with it. It's really well written but I don't think I am in the mood for anything this depressing. If another book comes up from my hold list I may return it.
QOTW: some kind of ridiculous brownie from a bakery
I just finished listening to A Gentlewoman's Guide to Murder, which I picked largely because it was available at my library when I was still on hold for other books. It was easy listening, though on a difficult subject.
I am reading Brandon Sanderson's The Way of Kings. I am a fan of fantasy but I feel like he's just making up random fantasy elements for no good reason, which was also my critique of his Mistborn. I really liked his work finishing the Wheel of Time series and I am looking for more like that.
QOTW I would probably buy a fancy treat for my very spoiled dog. š¶
Iāve been struggling to finish any book these past two weeks. Iāve gotten as far as 30-40% and quit because I just canāt find the motivation to struggle through material thatās not grabbing me.
Iām 15% into Katie Couricās memoir. Itās fine so far but I do think itāll pick up.
QOTW: Some junk food. Iām trying to behave myself but my household has been under a lot of stress and Iām not handling it well.
I just started This Poison Heart, YA/fantasy by Kalyan Bayron, which is good so far. Finally finished Miss Moriarty, I Presume by Sherry Thomas, which was not my favorite in the series. It was really slow for me and took me forever to finish.
QOTW: I like the fancy coffee idea, or I might get some dark chocolate to hide and not share.
The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell - 4*, really enjoyed this though if you are a regular mystery/thriller reader you probably wont enjoy this as much. It's more like a character study mystery.
Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey - 2*, definitely do the audiobook if you are going to read this, but I would skip it unless you want to read about a weird guy who somehow is a celebrity and his three wet dreams
Writers & Lovers by Lily King - 2*, if you are a writer or in the writing industry or worked in a restaurant perhaps you will enjoy this. I did not.
QOTW: I would buy the chocolate orange thing that they only sell now during the holidays. I've been craving one!
Iām reading Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor and really enjoying it. Iām also listening to Gutsy Women By Hillary and Chelsea Clinton
QOTW: Candy or another food ātreatā for myself
Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey - 2*, definitely do the audiobook if you are going to read this, but I would skip it unless you want to read about a weird guy who somehow is a celebrity and his three wet dreams

I am always surprised he became famous and for so long. I always think of his naked bongo playing.
I have never had one of those oranges. I just bought some dark chocolate ones this week and am waiting for Christmas! Iām intrigued.
I just finished Zorrie by Laird Hunt. I thought it was okay. It kind of reminded me of The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah, in that they both showed lifelong midwest female austerity.
If I had to spend $5 right now I would probably buy a strawberry aƧaĆ refresher at Starbucks.
