I'm starting this with an apology for the picture, it doesn't do these justice. I will take another and update when the tree is finally up- we are dragging this year. And another apology for waiting so long to post this- cereal K had these to me WEEKS ago. WEEKS. She's an inspiration!
Very excited to add this delicate rainbow to my collection- so beautifully done, not a stray thread! The gnome is just adorable- what is his little beard made of? It's so soft (I want a whole blanket out of that)! Thank you for signing him, I never remember to do it for the ones I send out, but it's such a nice touch.
They were beautifully packaged with some some absolutely delicious and only very slightly melted (we just can't have nice things in FL!) chocolates. I am getting a little jealous of all the fantastic chocolate everyone else seems to have access to, but it is always VERY appreciated. I also really love the company's name, I won't post it in case it's more location info than you want out there- but it's so cute!
Thank you so much- I can't wait to hang them up (year after year- I love this exchange)! <3
Heather, I got a notice that my package arrived today. I am so excited to open it, but won't be able to until next Monday - arghhhhh! I wanted to let you know it has been confirmed as received and I can't wait!!

I own the rainbow file and haven't stitched it because I just haven't had time. It's beautiful! @cerealk, it looks so well stitched.

I am so glad you like it! 🥰 I used double-sided satin ribbon, this is my first go at this type of ornament. It was a popular Christmas craft in the 80's. They made them with quilters cotton. I just upgraded the materials.

Thank you Michelle! I love it. I needed something festive for my desk, too. (we put a tree up last year for the first time in 10 years but haven't yet this year... We don't know where to put it in the house!)
I love that this is a very gnomey year! (as my recipient will see I was feeling that trend too...whenever the darn thing arrives)
But in Yeti News, Look how awesome these are!! My kids were dying to hang them, they were first on the tree along with the "babies first christmas" ornaments. So freakin' cute, and got here ages ago I just fail at posting pictures.
eta: could the sender out yourself? My husband threw away the packaging too quickly and I don't remember who sent them!

I was really nervous… earth tone holiday ornaments are not in my normal toolkit lol. I hope that hit the mark. And I Hope the mug rug is handy on your desk too.

Omg! cmeon is so freaking talented (and thoughtful). The picture doesn't do these justice but I literally squealed when I saw these adorable birds, wreath, nest and ribbon. Thank you so much! These are going front and center on the tree!
kellady sent me the CUTEST ornaments! I love them all! If you can't tell, the cat ornaments are glittery and I'm a huge fan of glitter. And the gnomes are amazing! I'm so glad I participated this year. I'm usually pretty Grinchy about the holidays but receiving these amazing ornaments has me looking forward to putting up a little tree.
I'm so glad that darn box finally showed up! The tracking makes it look like it sat in Orlando for 3-maybe 4- days doing a whole lot of nothing. I know it's a tough year for our postal service, but sheesh!
The wreath was originally going to be a part of the bird ornaments- they were going to be carrying (or in? it was still murky!) wreaths, but then I thought about it and decided the hearts were way better (and the wreaths were all too big or too small anyway). I threw a little orange oil on them and hung them around the house, and decided they were actually kind of nice, so I made another for you. I hope you don't absolutely hate the smell of oranges, LOL!
The ribbon was a pre-bird plan that was ditched early on, I just hoped you'd find a use for it!
I loved making these for you. It didn't hurt that you liked some REALLY bright colors (neon yellow)- it was a lot of fun dyeing the yarn!! <3
This adorable little jerk face thought the gnomes would make a great cat toy and tried to steal one from me. He would like for you all to admire the impressively floofy tail. I distracted him with the cardboard box kellady used to mail the ornaments.

YOU DYE THE YARN?! You are amazing! The ribbon is perfection because I was just browsing online to find some to make a bow on the wreathe I'm working on. and I love orange scent. You were spot on with everything. I'm going to try to make a similar little wreath since it's so cute and I can maybe handle it. lol

It was me!! Sorry, I did sign the backs of the ornaments too, but it was probably small. So happy you like them.

I love dyeing yarn, it's so much fun! Let me tell you, though- Tiffany Blue is a beast of a color to dye! I would have sworn up and down that that yarn was mint green until it dried- the one I thought was "the one" was way too blue once it dried. Always an adventure!!
The yellow yarn uses a fluorescent yellow dye (I was going for "neon yellow"- I hope your favorite colors didn't change in 8 years haha) so the bird looks hilarious under black light!
I ended up 3D printing my rings, but there were some creative ideas in the "makes". You can totally handle it! And it may take another week (what the heck USPS), but I'd be happy to throw some 3D printed rings in an envelope for you if you have trouble finding something.
I was finally able to open my ornament (which was shipped on time but there was a whole thing about getting it to me).
I love them H! (But i confess I'm not sure what your proboards user name is).
In the pic: A santa sewn from strips of fabric (love love love), an ornament painted from the inside - my daughter claimed this - an awesome mask that is reversible - dissent on one side and a lovely Christmas fabric on the other, and a Terry's dark chocolate orange which I love. It's my favorite candy of the season.
Oh man, I feel like a jerk. I didn't include any extras or candy! Just a card and 2 ornaments. I'll do better next year.
Don't you dare feel like that <3- there are plenty of years I only get an ornament or two out. It's an ornament swap- if you get an ornament out on time(ETA:ish), you're golden!
I don't want to speak for everyone, but for me- the difference between just-an-ornament(s)- and "extra stuff" is just time. There are years I just don't have enough to do everything I've agreed to do, and years where I have too much (which leads to a rather scatterbrained process that results in "extras"). And I've been doing this for at least a decade now with this group (more or less) and I still forget to send a card most years (So_Fetch can vouch for my hastily typed note this year haha)- so you did great!

I got my ornament today from the wonderfully talented aprilsails! The border is a beautiful, rich purple and the trees are so lovely! Thank you so much! I absolutely love it.
