Yes, one of the many things listed as missing is their signature even though it's right there. I'll call at 7, maybe I will get through? I'm also going to ask my HR for help, hopefully they have an idea.
How did your HR sign it?
Hopefully it's just as simple as putting it in for review. That's the easiest (although waiting to get through sucks). It happened to so many people at fedloan.
Not sure, it was scanned and emailed to me. Could be a real or electric pen.
I'm tempted to just re-do the form and fax it back with their letter. Think that would mess things up?

As long as it was drawn with a pen or electronic pen you are good to go. I would call. It’ll get processed quicker that way vs waiting for them to process a new one.
I had one of my employers kicked back because of an electronic signature and the letter fedloan sent was stupid. Said I was missing all sorts of things, when literally all I was missing with the correct type of signature. The person I finally spoke to at fedloan said that if the employer signature is wrong it essentially invalidates all of the other information on the form and says it’s all missing too - even though it’s not.
The other possibility is that they say there is something wrong on your form and there’s actually not. This was an unfortunately seemingly common glitch at fedloan that I was hoping had stopped at Mohela. In that scenario you meed to call first thing in the morning to get through and ask them to pull it up on their end, verify over the phone that nothing is missing, and ask them to put it in for a review.

DH got this letter, but it ended up being nothing.
This is such a cluster. Ugh. I haven’t applied to PSLF because I have 17k left in loans and am eligible to have 20k forgiven.
This lawsuit, though…. I’m thinking maybe I should apply for PSLF just in case? Except when I looked into it before, the payment plan had me paying over 1k a month and it would be paid off before I’m PSLF eligible (I think I only have 8ish years in).
Since loans are currently paused through the end of the year, you won’t need to change your payment plan until mid-Dec so it’s ready to go in January.
I’d go ahead and submit a pslf application now (before Oct 31!!!) so you’re well set up for pslf if you decide to go that route. It essentially buys you at least 8 weeks to see where things fall with the lawsuit and allows you to make a decision on solid footing.
Otherwise you’re putting all of your eggs in the 10/20k forgiveness bucket. Keep options open for a few more months.

Turns out my fax from June didn't go through properly 🤷♀️ I uploaded my docs right to the Mohela site which hopefully takes care of the problem.
Ended up waiting for 1 hr and 15 minutez on hold. Thankfully I had my prep this morning.
Me three!! My wife’s consolidation back to fed direct (initiated in August) is still processing so I’m going to hold off on filing theirs for now until it goes through, which should be soon.
I live overseas and am getting an Access Denied error when going onto the StudentAid.gov website.
I'm not sure if this is because it's the middle of the night USA time or because I'm overseas. I'm hoping the former because I successfully created an account only a month ago. It could also be that the website is overloaded/crashed.

It’s gone, whomp whomp.
I just noticed that trying to help another friend with it. What the heck. Did they close the beta version? Is it overloaded? This whole process is messy as hell.

Mine went through this week so their’s should be soon! We filed nearly the same day I think.

It comes and goes. My h was just able to fill it out.

I just had them check again and it went through!! Wooo.

I think it’s crashing bc the application keeps going up and getting taken down and people are refreshing trying to do it. I submitted Andi’s this morning and it worked but now it’s broken again.

I think I remember us applying around the same time in August…. I just got notice last night that it’s finalized (good timing), so hopefully you’ll hear soon.
I got a letter from Mohela telling me how many payments were eligible and how few counted, with zero explanation. They also completely left off my current employer, who I've been working for for the past 3.5+ years, with no explanation as to why. I tried calling, got hung up on, then finally got to a place where I could hold, but there was no sound or indication I was in hold at all. Instead I hung up and filed a complaint on the studentaid.gov website. I figured they'd be shitty given that they had to be served a cease & desist.
I've applied for the $10,000 relief and then hopefully I can have them rest paid off sooner than I'd be eligible for PSLF anyway at this point.

If you’ve ever consolidated, then this first count is only the payments after the consolidation. Pre-consolidation payments come in the next step with the department of ed review of the waiver.
Did you submit the employment forms together or separate? If separate they review them separate. If they were together they may be taking longer for some reason.
All that to say, hopefully when all is said and done you are actually much closer.

I didn't consolidate during this time period, maybe a long time ago though. I've always had direct loans (yay grad school). I submitted all of my employment verification forms together, both to FedLoan and then to Mohela. I wasn't taking any chances and re-faxed everything when my account transferred to Mohela. Luckily my employer is offering a new benefit of $100/mo towards our student loans, which helps a little bit, too.
1) is an electronic signature in the form of an image of written signature (or scanned pdf with written signature), not usable for the PSLF employment verification forms? I resubmitted some forms to MOHELA online again because it shows that a few certain time frames of employment aren’t being counted as verified, and I’m wondering if that’s why.
2) if someone was paying off their loans during the pandemic, and therefore eligible for a refund, do they fill out this same debt relief form?

When I finally spoke to a Mohela person on the phone they were very helpful... took 50 minutes of being on hold but still. Call 10 minutes before they open (8 am eastern) and by the time the super long recorded msg ends, you should be able to get put in the queue.

So, I know I do not qualify for forgiveness as my loans are all private and have been refinanced.
There is absolutely no benefit to me filling out this application, right?
I was pretty confident about this until a couple friends who I generally considered smart have been extremely vocal that if you have any loans at all you should fill it out and worry about any details or specifics later. So now I'm second guessing myself.
StrawberryBlondie, the government can't forgive private loans. I wish they could, it would benefit me! But logically, and because they've said it many times, they can't force loan forgiveness on private lenders.
So unless you're friends know something else, I don't think it's worthwhile.

See, that's what I thought but since there were 2 of them (who do not know each other) I started to think there was a *chance* I missed something.
