I don't have an article yet, because this is happening right now, but I am watching the televised reading of the verdict and Kim Potter (the police officer who killed Daunte Wright, claiming she thought she was using her taser) was found guilty on both counts. I am pleasantly surprised by this outcome.

Same here. I thought they'd either acquit or be unable to come are on a verdict.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Released early this AM for her safety. Pitiful sentence, not even a slap on the wrist.
I also believe the sentence was disgustingly low, but just to clarify, since it sounds like you're saying she was released early... She served her sentence and was released on the day she was supposed to be released - just in the wee hours of the day.

That is what I meant, they let her out at 5am. Just the irony of concern for her safety when she was so careless with the life of another. Kind of hard to word that one.

Yeah... I think the idea that they're concerned for her safety is BS. I actually think they did it for logistical reasons. The women's prison is in a residential neighborhood and I think getting her out of there before the day really started makes things easier for the people who live in the neighborhood and need to get to work, get their kids to school, etc.
