I just finished Project Hail Mary — definitely a page-turner! Also reading A Most Remarkable Creature, a nonfiction book about birds (caracaras).
Qotw: no big surprises this year — everyone mostly got things we asked for, which is nice! I’ve been enjoying giving away cookies this year. I baked a few more kinds than usual.
Not sure what I'm reading next. It's hard to picture getting much done between now and the end of the year since my H will be off work. We'll see. I'm at 81/75 for the year so I feel good about that.
QOTW: I got two very functional and nice coats - something I've been needing for awhile but not interested in spending the money on.
I finished Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys, 5*. It is probably the best book I read this year. I also finished Eli's Promise by Ronald Balson, 4*. I'm currently reading The Girl From Berlin by Ronald Balson.
Qotw: I received Go Tell the Bees that I'm Gone by Diana Gabaldon from my daughter. I cannot wait to start that next.
I read Smile - The Story of a Face by Sarah Ruhl. She’s a playwright who developed long term Bell’s palsy after the birth of her twins. It was pretty interesting; I’d recommend it.
My husband got us concert tickets, which I wasn’t expecting.
