Also, I am still dealing with a work issue and come to find out someone overwrote my files in teams. After I told the person running the channel it kept happening.
So today I had to explain to her boss that if they look in the chat history I brought up this problem weeks ago. And thankfully I kept my version on our shared drives and just dropped it into teams as I updated.
Oh, to be clear, it's super confusing. Ideally it would be you have to test negative to be 'done' but we all know that isn't feasible at this point.
The symptoms would start with his stuffy nose. that is a symptom. so I would say if he feels good for the next 5 days, he's good to go. However, if on day 5 he still isn't over any symptoms, then he's not done. It's not a restart the clock, it's the clock goes until he's feeling ok. Then he's supposed to wear a mask for the next 5 days when he's around people.
So there isn't a set time per se since it's based on how your individual symptoms are.
So in my scenario where he is congested for four days, but fine after that, he can isolate for five days (total, including symptomatic days), then wear a mask around people for five days, right? But if he’s congested for six days, wake up fine on the 7th, then he’s done with isolation and wears a mask for five days?
That’s what I’m guessing too. I’ve filled out the form twice in the last week and haven’t received the follow up email. 😕
Same here. But I work for LPS. I got an email today, that parents will get at some point, that the saliva direct testing site will be open Thursday and Friday for testing before returning to school. It doesn’t sound like they are requiring it, but just recommending it, and there’s no info about appointments or walk in, so not very helpful, but it’s an option?
I’m glad to know that, but not helpful given it’s Wednesday already. When are they going to share that info? (Not really asking you that.)
Just FYI, I just got tests at the Walgreens at University and Arapahoe if you’re looking for them. They had just gotten an order in and had a giant stack.
It is so dreary here this week and I'm dragging. It's been hard to get out of bed in the morning and all I want to do in the afternoon is take a nap. I feel fine otherwise so I'm not sick or anything, just very blah this week. It sounds like things should pick up next week in my new job, but it's been kind of a slow start with that so I'm also kind of bored.
We are supposed to go to an NFL game on Sunday and I am having major 2nd thoughts with COVID. The team is doing terrible right now anyway (lots of injuries and people out with COVID) so they will probably lose. It's an outdoor stadium and hopefully won't be too crowded given those two things, but IDK. I think if it were just me I'd skip it but my H still wants to go and I'm not sure if it's worth putting my foot down on or not. He'll go with whatever I want, but I don't want to make him sad lol.
We are moving in the spring and I am so excited to have a fresh start. But it certainly feels daunting to get ready to sell and then have to fight for a house (low inventory everywhere it seems) and move all of our stuff.
We are currently lightening our load and hopefully downsizing to a smaller more affordable house in a less stuffy town.
starburst604 , I would just go home. You’re symptomatic with a positive rapid test. Go isolate for five days and call it good. I hope your case stays mild!
I am laying in bed and have a meeting that starts in five minutes. I should probably go get in front of the computer.
I’m going to run over to Whole Foods today to return an Amazon purchase and get stuff for our New Years apps. I also need to see if Walgreens has rapid tests so we can test the kids before they return to school. The state isn’t being responsive about ordering free test kits, which is frustrating. Guess they’re feeling the same strain as everyone else.
Can you let me know if you find any? We’re starting to run low and I can’t find them anywhere.

ETA: oh, I just saw the email!
Oh good. The email staff gets is slightly different than the one parents get (I also get the parent one). This was was more informative, hey, this is generally what we are sending to the parents. Just kind of as a heads up. I still have 1.5 boxes of tests at home, so I’m debating using those so we don’t have to go out in the cold. But then I’m left with nothing at home if any symptoms crop up in the next few weeks, so I’m not sure what I’m doing yet.
I don’t mind helping my dad with stuff because my mom handled everything, he’s getting old and I like knowing bills are paid and all that but it is exhausting sort of running two households. All his mail (of course) goes to his house which isn’t super far but it’s rural and not super convenient to just pop by and check something out. Just when I think something is done, another piece of mail arrives that results in some question. He doesn’t use a computer or smart phone so he can’t just snap a pic for me.
Now he has some mysterious mail from the county about his property and getting a copy of his deed? Which doesn’t make a ton of sense since he just got a new one removing my mom’s name. What else is there? Luckily he can drive so we might meet in the middle so he can give it to me and we could grocery shop together next week but can I get a break? Soon enough it will be taxes to deal with. I hate having things looming over my head.

I’m stuck in a hotel room at the Seattle airport. I have knitting and a book and a new reservation to leave tomorrow at midnight so, 18 hours late). There are no restaurants near this hotel.
I had a lovely time with my son but weather canceled the meet up with my brother portion of the trip. 😢

We’re going, I just ordered KN95 masks.
Good idea! We could do that, or double mask, too. I am sure we'll want to drink/eat something but there is no reason why we couldn't just pull our masks up and down. I'm sure we'll all be fine anyway since it's outdoors!

Lurker here - but we have gone to every Rams home game this year and we double mask and pull up/down when we eat and drink. That is the safest we can do besides not go. No one we have gone with or ourselves have gotten sick. Go have fun but be safe.

Oh no, I liked your post before I realized we are playing the Rams this weekend and you will probably win. LOL.
GUYS. It's almost 5pm my time and it looks like they are going to leave me hanging another day without putting my offer in writing. I know the simplest explanation is the holidays and people in and out of the office etc. And the grandboss did call me after the verbal offer to welcome me on. But STILLLLLLLL.
This is truly random. I have a Blue Apron account b/c we've done it a few times before, but I'm not really interested anymore so I just cancel for 5 weeks out or however far you can go, and then get back on the app and do it again in a few weeks, rinse and repeat. I forgot to cancel it back near Thanksgiving and then also this week just due to being busy. Both times, it was two Asian inspired meals, both with bok choy. It seems odd they'd give me two of the same kind of cuisine, twice, and the same veggies. Don't they have anything else in their repertoire, lol. Its okay, it actually worked out this week because I have zero meal planning inspiration after the holidays.
My parents are leaving tomorrow at 4am to go to the Rose Bowl to see Ohio State play. This is a once in a lifetime trip for my dad, he’s an alumni and adores his Buckeyes. I just hope this trip is everything the want it to be. And that they don’t get sick.

I'm glad you've stayed safe though!
Sorry, but we need to win and the Cardinals to lose so that we can have home field advantage for the playoffs. Any game right now can be up in the air due to the Covid situation.
My guinea pig died this morning. I called the emergency line at the vet to get her in to have them put her down, but she passed before I could leave the house. It was horrible and I am so sad.
Yesterday was DD1’s birthday and she wanted to see the new Spider-Man movie. It was good, but since none of us had seen any of the others (aside from the 1st one), we were a little lost on some parts. So tonight we watched the 2nd one and just started the 3rd.
