I read a lot but I didn’t beat last year! I think it was 262 vs 271. I had a couple really slow months.

This month was full of books I got from a book recommendation list. It probably wasn't the best month to have read so many heavy books. I ended up all over the place this month, from 5* to DNF. I met my goal.  I had my goal set to 45 for the year.  I ended the year with 71 books, I think.

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys - Probably the best book I read this year. It is heart wrenching yet beautifully written.

Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner - I can see why some people liked this book. I wanted to like it, but I ended up finding it mediocre.

A Spindle Splintered (Fractured Fables, #1) by Alix E. Harrow - 4*
Girl at War by Sara Novic - 4.5*
Bell, Book, and Key (Chronos Origins #3) by Rysa Walker - 4*

The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Marie Benedict - 3*
Certain Dark Things by Silvia Moreno-Garcia - 4.5*


While I loved two of these books I think Girl at War is the one I would be the most likely to recommend. 

The Mystery of Mrs. Christie could have been a good book but it dragged and then veered into "twisty domestic thriller" territory which isn't what I wanted at all.
