Shed questions

Has anyone had a shed installed, and if so can give me advice?  We're getting a small (8x8) shed put in.  The costs include a separate site preparation team to put in the 10x10 gravel stone pad and border.

1.  I noticed yesterday that where I want the shed to go there are a few random saplings growing.  Like, little ones, but I would probably have to dig them out.  Do you think that's part of the site prep or should I try to get them dug out and filled beforehand?

2.  The site prep covers a gradation of up to 8", and says that anything more than that will have to be paid directly to the site prep company.  Is there a way to judge the gradation?  Would I just mark off 10 feet and hold a string level at the highest point and make sure it's less than 8" off the ground at the lowest points?  I probably have some choices for where I would put it.

Our shed was placed on the same spot as our previous shed, and put on blocks, so can’t help with that part. It would probably be best to ask your questions directly to the site prep company. If the saplings are small enough, that may be within their scope, but may charge extra if they are a certain height.
