I only get my forehead done and it's a little less than $100. The first time I got botox, I went to a plastic surgeon and he put almost $400 into my forehead alone and I hated it so much. It was way too much. I never went back to him and found someone else (sorry, I don't pay attention to units). I'm very "less is more" when it comes to Botox and fillers. I don't have 11's yet, but I believe that for some reason, it takes a lot of botox for that area so that's going to cost more.
I'm getting lip injections next month and it's going to be $400. Sigh. My injector said it's very painful. Has anyone had their lips done? I'm a little scared. Botox hurts sooo much and she said the lip injections hurt much more.
I don't think Botox hurts, and my lips did hurt. She gave me a cold thing to roll on my chin to distract me. I had it done twice, and the second hurt more than the first and also was more uncomfortable afterwards. I can't remember what she used the second time. I did like the results better, but ouch.

My injector doesn't numb for botox, but she does for lip injections. I love her, but she's not very gentle with the botox, lol. Thank you for the info!
I get botox, filler in my temples, and have had Sculptra there as well. I go to a top plastic surgeon because anything near the eyes (for filler anyway) makes me want to have a seasoned pro.
Several of my friends have gotten their lips and I have rarely seen it look good/not totally ridiculous and obvious. I hate my thin lips but am hesitant based on what I have seen on others.

Agree about the lips. The exception is when it's done to take away aging lines around the lips, I've seen THAT look natural and nice but almost always when you try to go against the lips you were given, it has an artificial look to it. Obviously some people don't care and enjoy the look so KOKO.

Huh, I didn’t think the fillers hurt either time I got them but both times they used lidocaine first. It did feel weird, but I thought the pain was pretty manageable, no worse than a filling at the dentist. I was pretty swollen for a few days after the second time though, and I had a noticeable bruise on one cheek the first time I had it done.
If you do Botox for your forehead lines, what does it cost and how often do you get it done? I know this will vary by region and person, but just generally curious. I am very close to pulling the trigger. My forehead really bothers me.
In my consult, she said I wold need 18 units at $15 per unit... so $300 every 3-4 months.

I’m in the suburbs outside of Chicago and places charge anywhere from $11-$16 per unit depending on the location and city. My doc charges $12. I typically get 20 units but with Allē I get $20 off pretty much every visit (rewards program) they also run promos so I currently have $50 off, and around the holidays they had buy $50 gc get $50 free. I go every 4ish months and it’s my favorite thing in the entire world. Ps this was before my powder brows. Lol don’t judge
For those of you looking to do something with your lips, a lip flip is great. It’s typically 4-6 units of Botox per lip and it really just relaxes your lips so that they look fuller, it doesn’t juice them up. You keep your natural lip shape and it is so much cheaper. One negative is it wears off faster, but the benefits outweigh that, imo.
I totally feel you on the "less is more" approach - I'm all about natural-looking enhancements. Sorry to hear that your first experience with Botox wasn't great, but glad to hear that you found someone else who could give you what you were looking for.

I don't regret any of my fillI don't regret any of my fillers. I though very well before doing them. They helped me reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, giving me a more youthful appearance. Besides, I noticed a volume to some areas of my face. Fillers are generally considered safe and have a low risk of side effects when performed by a qualified and experienced injector. However, you should carefully consider the potential benefits and risks before deciding to undergo this procedure. A good specialist, like those from onsitemedspa.com, may help you take the right decision. Additionally, you may want to consider non-invasive alternatives, such as skincare products or facial exercises.ers.
I do Dysport quarterly for crow's feet/forehead. My temples are super hollow looking so I got a small amount of filler in them, and plan to continue to do that annually. For the filler in my temples, I went to a different doctor than I do for Dysport, and paid more to have the doctor who founded the practice to do it.
My Dr charges per area vs per unit - has any one heard of charging this way? Seems not right bc I may not need the same as someone else.
I’ve heard this is generally a red flag.
I’ve only had one experience with someone charging per area and, whoa, he was bad. It was the only time I felt like I was overdosed and looked frozen, lopsided and not at all natural. I prefer to discuss exactly how much I need (which is not that much) and have it dosed accordingly. Even a difference of two units can be noticeable! Like for crow’s feet, I only get two units.

I get Botox in my crow's feet, my forehead and 11s. I also LOVE it. In total I get about 50 units at $12 a unit. I do it every 6 months. I wish it was cheaper. I don't know of anything that works that well and makes you look that good. Never tried fillers.
