Depending on how long you have been contributing, you used to have to keep up with it yourself. IRS only recently made a law for the company to do a better job tracking. So yes, you might need to go back and figure it out yourself.

If you go to the Vanguard website, "My Account", "Activity", then "Transaction History" you can
Select as far back as 10/01/1998
Skip the "all holdings" drop down and go to the next drop down which says "All Transaction Types" and select "Contributions".
It should provide a list of all contribution dates and amounts (since 1998, or whatever time you put).
You can do this for both Roth IRA and tIRA.
ETA: You can also go to the "Performance" Tab, and the amount listed as "Purchases and Withdrawals" will be the amount of all your purchases, including Roth conversions, if you don't have any withdrawals (this would be the fastest way if you don't have any withdrawals or conversions at all, but would not give dates of the contributions).
