Wyndham is at the East End and it is much quieter there. We have stayed next door at Morritt's. If that is what you are looking for, it is great but a longish drive from lots of things to do. There is a small grocery store not far.
I would stick to seven mile beach or rum point for places to walk to and lots more to do within closer proximity.

Check reviews on the beach at that resort. We stayed there years ago, and the beach was very rocky/not nearly as nice as seven mile beach. I wish we had stayed there instead.
