Can people please label the pics for us olds? I recognize only a few faces, although I recognize the names of more (still less than half!).

I thought Billie Elish dressed that way not to avoid any attention but rather attention to her body specifically. I'd rather wear the crinkled reese cup wrappers and whatever that tiny triangle boob dress. Even my ibtc would pop out.

I loved so many of the looks. I'm not a huge fan and the boob cut-outs that were happening on so many of the dresses, but maybe that's just because I'm an H cup and there isn't enough fabric to make something like that for me LOL

I haven't decided on my favorite female look yet, but I give best dressed man to Trevor Noah.

Lady Gaga has moved from shocking to staid but she still looks lovely.

I am pretty sure I had the top part of Laverne Cox's dress as a shirt in multiple colors in college. I loved those tops.

'Lil Nas X I know he's trying for edgy popstar but I just think his smile's as cute as a button.

I like Billie Eilish's music a lot, but I feel like she's going through a phase sort of like Lady Gaga in her meat dress phase.

coming in late and hot here - The "but" here is rubbing me the wrong way.  Like that she doesn't dress in a conventionally attractive way is somehow a counterbalance to her talent.  Big ole meh to that.

since she started really being famous she avoided clothes that show the shape of her body.  she's talked about the fact that she's uncomfortable with the commodification of her body in a very specific way, but also she's a weirdo musician and dresses like a weirdo musician and wants people to look at her.  She's talked about both aspects of that for a few years now. Not sure I'd see that as a phase.

And maybe like lady gaga it'll be totally different in a few years, but that's because people's tastes and goals in how they present themselves also change over time.  I'd guess that Gaga toned her shit down probably in large part because she was moving into acting and appealing to more conventional tastes and is playing the game accordingly.  Or because meat dresses are exhausting and she's successful and established enough now to skip the shock value and just be glamorous if that's what she's feeling.

Billie's fashion has shifted from track suits and skater pant/giant shorts looking things to more "fashion" but still unconventional and oversized (or like a poorly folded fitted sheet depending on who you ask), and I'm sure it will shift again, but I don't think she's ever going to show up in a typical gown.

fair 'nuf.  Of course after my whole lil' rant and clicking create post, I remembered her peach marylin monroe look and was like, "am I full of shit?" so I went looking for some good slide shows and realized she wears almost exclusively "weird" shit to normal people things and then wore AGGRESSIVELY "normal" old hollywood stuff to the freakin' met gala where everyone is trying to outweird each other and I'm so amused. I'm not 100% sure that was what she was getting at, but that's how I'm taking it. (also it was partially for that whole anti-fur thing, which was badass)

I'm a complete fan if it wasn't clear. I love her music and have thought she was just the cutest damn genius ever since her carpool karaoke appearance.
