I normally always get great customer service reps on the phone who a seem to add personal knowledge and advice. I wonder if Disney has had to add some more phone reps as they reopen more of the parks and crowds have resumed. My experience is you can only make dining reservations 60 days out. The last rep I spoke to told me to get my reservations made ASAP and when I said we weren't at the 60 day mark yet, she said sometimes you can do it earlier, but then was wishy washy when I asked for an explanation on how to do that. So just checking in here to confirm there is no other way to do reservations earlier right?
Not that I'm aware of (and I tried bc I had a split stay and it would only let me book for the length of my first reservation). It will let you book the entirety of your reservation however (if onsite)- so if you are aiming for something really hard to get - plan it for further out in your trip and book that first. Have your browser ready with a tab for each restaurant open in order you want to book them, make sure you are logged in before 6 am ET, and then hit refresh on your first one, complete it, then refresh on your second tab, etc.
I also had the best luck with MouseDining for a dining alert site (just used the free version but the paid version will send you texts). Touring Plans didn't send me anywhere near the same amount of alerts.
