Why are all jeans cropped now? I suppose this is like when skinny jeans became a thing and I thought they were hideous and not flattering at all and 2 years later I started wearing them. I guess I'll be in cropped jeans in 2024?
I don't know, but as a tall person I hate it.
Also, it snows 6 months out of the year here; I don't want exposed ankles when it's freezing out.
OMG same. I don’t get cuffed or cropped jeans with ankle booties for cold climates in winter. Don’t peoples ankles get cold?
yourmother , from what I gather, they had a pretty contentious relationship all around. I don't think either one is a gem. There were accusations on both sides leading up their divorce, but it was ultimately settled out of court so no confirmed specifics on what went down or admissions of bad behavior or anything.
Then in 2018 she wrote an article in Washington Post alleging that she was a victim of domestic violence.
Johnny is suing her for defamation and saying that not only is it not true, but that she was actually the abuser in their relationship.
So she is counter-suing for defamation because I guess Johnny's lawyer made unproven accusations against her?

Right? Like, I'd love to update my wardrobe with some current trends, but it's all cropped: cropped pants, cropped tops, cropped sweaters... and it's cold here for most of the year.

On the topic of hair... My daughter has super fine very blonde hair. After the pool her hair feels slimy, like when you have conditioner in and then dries really crunchy. I assume it's the chlorine? I soak her hair before she gets in, but what else should I do or use? It's starting to look really fried. When we weren't swimming a lot I washed her hair once or twice a week, but now I'm washing it after every swim time with my shampoo and conditioner.
I’d wash her hair prior and put in a braid. But it’s important to wash the chlorine out once she gets out. I’d also add a clarifying shampoo once a week to the rotations. Idk how old she is, but a swim cap keeps it protected the best.
Speaking of hair, my DD deals with major dandruff sometimes. Anyone have a good recommendation for a shampoo? I've tried Selsun Blue, Head and Shoulder and shampoo with tea tree oil but sometimes none of them work.

Is the answer always a suit? I (finally!) have an in person interview, third and final round, for a position. It's in Louisiana, so it's hot. It's at a manufacturing facility that works in the oil/gas industry. My job there would have me periodically on the manufacturing floor dealing with inventory issues, so I'm hesitant to wear a suit and heels, I want to show that I'm comfortable in that environment. I've had two interviews with them, the CFO wore a company polo, the COO wore a t-shirt from Sea World, the HR director wore a tank top. What do I wear?

Can you ask the HR rep you’ve been working with what to expect from the interview so that you can dress accordingly? Maybe just position it like you want to make sure you have proper footwear in case you’re touring the plant? If she says yes, then you know not to go with a suit. If she says it’s all in-office, then I’d probably just suit up. I haaaaaate wearing a suit, so I feel you on this.

I would love an explanation of Bluetooth. What it is, how it works. Where does my wifi end And my BT begin? When a device has both options, when is BT better And when is wifi better? And why does a previously “found” BT device sometimes work automatically and sometimes I have to go into settings and connect it? This may or may not be related to my fancy litterbox with BT and wifi but I’ll never admit it.

Say you have a dishwasher with a cutlery basket. I don't care about handle up or down. The question is do you load in a particular sequence (back to front) or just toss it in there?

I would load back to front. My hellbeast children toss randomly. I've given up because in the dishwasher > still laying on the table.

I am a hellbeast. What is the point, though? Just symmetry? Like you want to finish with 1 little pocket and then move to the next? I guess I see that.

Even distribution of silverware for more efficient cleaning. Or at least that's what's in my head.

I put them in randomly to space them out. DDs like to pile everything in one little section of the basket that I then space out, lol.
Curly hair people- does anyone go back and forth between leaving it curly and straightening it? I’ve been pretty committed to CGM for about 9 months now, but I straightened it yesterday, and I think I prefer it like that.
There was a post about mulching recently, and it made me wonder- do people re-paper under the mulch every year? Do you get rid of the old mulch first?
After being naturally curly for 44 years, I started straightening it 24/7 in 2018. Once a month or so I get lazy and leave it curly for a few days. But when straight I only wash once a week and take 30 minutes to straighten/style. Minimal touchups during the week.
I like it better, I think it frames my face in a more flattering way.

How delicate are these dishes? I really love them. (I’m sorry I don’t know how to PIP 🤦♀️) I’ve found them locally, but this is a link to the collection.
They say they are fine China- does that mean too delicate for everyday use as a family with kids? I love them but don’t want to destroy them if they are too delicate.

Neither. I try to spread out the silverware so that the different pieces are spread evenly through the little cups. So, for example, I don’t have 2 spoons nesting together because then they wouldn’t get clean.

I don't think the answer is always a suit. I was on here a week or two ago asking about what to wear to a happy hour in a tech-adjacent manufacturing company and got good advice to dial it down.
I previously worked for a large manufacturing company, our executives wore, at most, a dress shirt and dress slacks. The advice I've heard is to dress a notch or two nicer than you would day to day for an interview, but I haven't seen a suit for a long time. If they are in company polos, I'd maybe go for a breezy blouse or shell (that covers your shoulders) that will accommodate the heat with black or grey pants and shoes you could wear on the floor if you do a tour (or bring shoes in a briefcase if you can't make an outfit work). I'd also pack a sweater in case you are over air-conditioned.

Here’s a real random question. I’ve been sucked into the Greys Anatomy videos on FB.
**possible TW-child loss**
What came first, Private Practice or Greys? I saw where Amelia gave birth to a son on PP (I think?), but a quick google search says she has another son who’s still living.

Grey's came first. She was introduced on PP, then after it ended, she came to GA. The son she had on PP didn't survive, but she had another son on a recent season of GA.
