Also I mentioned it to my mentor and she said she had one a couple decades ago and it was life changing, so crossing fingers.


Return to the office is the shitshow we anticipated. We have a "happy committee" and they're doing a bowling going away for our double amputee. Yep. He says ok, only because he doesn't want anything period.

For the love of fluffy biscuits, people, can't you just have some cupcakes in the breakroom at lunch, maybe a beer after work and call it good?  why do people always have to do too much?

I’m learning I need a new job. I’ve had to come into the office 5 days for over a year. 😕

I went from full time WFH to 3 days in the office and I feel like I needed some training for this. I came home exhausted every day and had weird dreams every night. I'm actually glad to be back in the office part time but this week was so rough on me, mentally and physically.

I'm such an introvert and one of my goals with going back in the office is to be a bit more outgoing. I'm really happy because I met some new people and had lunch with them.

Today is my first official day back at the office. May 9 was supposed to be our big come back day, but I guess a lot of people squawked about the hybrid Tue-Wed-Thurs requirement because now it's just "come in when you want, you don't have to set a schedule." I'm in a room designed to probably 3 dozen people and there are just 2 of us. My little corner is very lonely. But I got to have lunch at our newly remodeled cafe and it was yummy.

I got some linen shorts and pants at Costco. They're the same brand but the shorts have real drawstring waists but the pants have fake ones! The bow is stitched on the front. WTF is that nonsense? There's an elastic waist with channels in it so they could have put a drawstring in but they didn't.

I've had an infection below one of my molars for way too long. I'm so close to getting it fixed but I'm leaving next week and I'm worried now that the infection is worse. I have a tender lump near that tooth. fuck

winecat, get it checked out. At the least, they can give you a prescription for an antibiotic. Do it. I ended up losing a tooth due to an infection that went on too long (and destroying the bone above it). Don't be me.

Since this got bumped, I'll update. My dad's surgery went really well. He was in the hospital slightly longer than expected but is home now. I'm staying long enough to take him to his first follow-up appointment. Thankfully, they have a lot of resources, both in terms of their insurance and just in general, so they'll be fine once I head home.

mrsukyankee- I finally worked up the courage to go back to the dentist. I'm going to the dental school because I trust them more. BUT it takes forever. I just saw an endodontist on Thursday. I will ask for an antibiotic prescription. I wasn't sure if that was the route to go or not. Thank you for the advice.

I feel like I'm channeling Elaine from Seinfeld. I just ordered 6 boxes of OB Ultra tampons since Amazon still has them and OB says that they're discontinuing that size. Now I'm going to have to decide which days are Ultra worthy. dammit.
