Kitchen demo just started today - finally!!! here goes 12 weeks of living without a kitchen.... I'll start posting some before and progress pictures as we go along.
we're at day 10 working days (day 12 eligible working days) and 2+ full weeks.
now most all the progress is behind the scenes/walls... nothing much else will happen (to change it visually) for about 2 weeks....
If these pictures work I'll add more below....
Mood Board (top right image is NOT my kitchen or what mine will look like - just their inspiration pic)

We're finished!!!! Actually finished in September - but have been lazy about updating.....
Before pictures in OP - Afters here.
We removed the tall bar and wall - those were the structural changes... this first picture is the best vantage point to compare to the before (don't zoom in too far - it wasn't staged for pictures- LOL

Ha, I saw your post that said "12 weeks" was in July and got really worried! Thanks for updating. It's all gorgeous! Love the window nook and the island surface in particular.
Is your t.v. now behind doors, or did you move it, or will it ultimately be mounted above the fireplace again?

it will be mounted above the fireplace again. It's actually there now and I do have decor on the shelves that helps - still figuring out furniture in the LR - that will be another post
That looks great!! I love the wood beams. Did it really take since June of last year?
Sorry - no, I procrastinated in posting the afters... It started right before Memorial Day and we had everyone finally out of the house by the end of September. The last 8 hours of work took almost 6 weeks - contractors are frustrating. and we had to have someone come in and redo all the paint - the first painters were horrible (lack of coverage, full on drips, etc...).
Also, what is your backsplash tile? Wondering if it's the one I'm thinking of using in my upstairs bathroom renovation (Ivy Tile).
This is Cloe 5" x 5" in white (still has variations in color and some light gray). I bought it from Bedrosian tile - but looks like it's sold at quite a few retailers. I didn't like it the first time I saw it - but then 2 months and dozens of other tile samples later I found my way back to it and really like it.

Is this the one you are thinking about? I just got some samples of the cream for my bath -- exisiting tub is creamy/almond and we are keeping it. It is so pretty! Not sure if it will work with the tub though.
