I just wanted to check in with you all to see if you have recently purchased some awesome workout wear or anything else that you would recommend. I love getting tips like that from the boards.
I have not purchased much but got some Onzie leggings that are really awesome. They are technically yoga leggings but I hike in them. Also like my Moerdeng rain jacket which I tried on in a downpour in St. Lucia. Just got a Lululemon jack from BIL&SIL for my birthday but I still have to evaluate. It is way too hot for any type of jacket right now.
The cycling clothing company that sponsors my bike team discontinued the sleeveless jersey. The seamstress I use was able to take a short sleeve jersey purposely bought for this and perfectly transform it into sleeveless. This is probably useless for everyone else, though.
I have a weird mixed bag report - brooks chaser 7's were a magical unicorn find for me. Flowy shorts that DIDN'T immediately get gobbled up by my thighs into my vagina. So I bought two more pairs (SAME FUCKIGN SHORTS. different colors) and they ride up. Only one leg at a time though? so that's bizarre. I'm baffled and betrayed. I assume the black fabric and the blue fabrics are just slightly different and somehow that's enough to change how they sit on me, but FOR FUCKS SAKE.
They're really nice though. great pockets. great super light fabric. Great comfy non squeezy waistband. would highly recommend for people with less intense shorts gobbling thigh situations. There are other similar shorts I've touched and tried on in stores, but couldn't walk across a fitting room before they got gobbled, so there's something special about these (the black ones anyway).
I've also decided that the skirt sports redemption 8" redemption shortie is my favorite bike short style running short, so of course they just released a "new and improved" version and COME ON ALREADY. But I love the fabric they use.
wawa Those used to be my favorite shorts, too. At some point they got bigger, and flow-ier? I went back to my Oiselle Long Rogas. But I admittedly am not doing as much running these days. 3-4 miles a couple times a week.
Recent-ish purchase that I like for outdoor bike rides. These are just regular old "bike" length shorts, but they are really comfy. I haven't tried running in them yet. I also like this brand's joggers:
Looking for a replacement for my favorite workout tanks - the Gap Breathe racerbacks. They seemed to have changed the style to a shorter, boxier version I like the thin soft fabric and they had tall lengths.
I finally cleaned out my drawer of 10 year old cycling shorts, most of which I haven't been wearing, and bought a pair of Terry Bella shorts. I really like, and will probably buy another.

Fabrics are so much better now! So are chammys and the lack of leg grippers.

I bought a Peloton which led me to buying a bunch of hand weights, a yoga mat, and yoga blocks. I've never been one to work out at home but it's been a couple of months now and I'm so happy with everything that I bought. The weights and yoga stuff were all from Target, so very reasonably priced. I looked at hand weights when I was at Dick's the other day and they were significantly more expensive there.
