Do any of you use either of these memberships? Are they worth it? I'm not a regular online shopper, but now with having a little one I wonder if it's worth it for me to invest in the Amazon membership. We do belong to BJs Wholesale Club and expect we will buy baby things there as opposed to Target or Walmart. Just wondered what experiences any of you may have had with Amazon.
We have been enjoying a free prime membership for quite some time and its about to expire:(. It's been so great, we will pay to renew. With a little one it's very convenient. I'm so glad we have a cool UPS lady.
I don't even know what the cost is? Do you pay $30? I've got $30 in my head. Even if its $60, for a year it's worth it. We did our baby registry through Amazon too. So convenient.

Prime membership is $79/year. I'm a member because I signed up for the free trial and forgot to cancel, but I'm glad I'm a member. Its definitely worth it in my opinion.

Yes, $79. But for us it's worth it. I tried not to renew, and even though I buy diapers for less at Sam's Club, it's a huge savings. I buy almost everything at Amazon.
H was telling me about the tax thing. They might have to start charging tax in some states but if that becomes the case they will offer same day shipping. So that will increase tax revenue for those states. And they will be building warehouses in those states which will create jobs. I love amazon.

I had the Amazon Prime one year for Christmas (free trial), and it was awesome, but I didn't keep it. I've always bought our diapers from BJs, but now we just switched to a Cosco membership. I haven't bought diapers there yet, but a friend just told me that they only carry their own brand. Not sure if that is true, but if so I think I will have to get Amazon Prime, which would fine with Christmas coming up.
Tell me the advantage of this Prime membership. I'm too lazy to look it up myself.
I've kind of looked it up, but am curious myself. Two day shipping, discounts on diapers/wipes, and some shows/movies to stream. What kind of other discounts does it include?
BJ's is less than a mile from my house, and while I haven't checked diapers/wipes prices on Amazon.com, but I'm wondering if there would really be a lot of savings there since we already have a BJ's membership ...

How are diapers less at Sams? Which diapers are you buying? I buy Pampers baby dry and they are so much cheaper on Amazon than Sams. Especially when Amazon has their $3-$5 off coupons.
And you just have to be proactive with Amazon Mom because they take a week to come so a couple times I had to go buy some to get through the week while I wait.

I buy Huggies, and my subscribe and save ended up being $6 higher than Sam's Club. And it's not 2 day shipping on diapers, so I was constantly running out while they were on their slow boat from China.

To anyone planning on purchasing boxes from Amazon.... I always order when I open my last pack from inside the box. Just remember around Christmas time, the diapers arrive snail mail. It took 2 or 3 weeks last Christmas. Oh how I miss the old Amazon Mom w/ 2 day shipping.

Another awesome benefit of amazon mom is 1 year returns. I have been buying dispers for a while and apparently bought way too many size 1. They return them for free, they pay the shipping and give you a full refund!
I am a member, still in my "free" period, but I'm pretty sure I will pay. I really dislike going shopping and do as much as I can online, so the free 2-day shipping is awesome for me!
I have a prime membership. I love it. We also have a BJs membership. I'd buy daipers from Amazon, except that every other month there are coupons in the BJs mailer that make the BJ's diapers cheaper than amazon. Christmas will be via amazon and k-mart lay away this year I love the 2 day shipping (even though, when I am waiting for a book it is the.longest.two.days.of.my.life.)
FWIW - I buy Pampers Swaddlers and if I have a $10 off coupon for Diapers.com(you should get a bunch while pg from various places), they end up being the cheapest and they have free 2-day shipping on orders of $49 or more. I have not looked into the auto-order from Amazon though to get that discount.
