We just bought in July 2022 and it was crazy and stressful, but so far we are loving it. The layout of the house is so much better than our old and everything seems more manageable. We probably overpaid, but we also got way over asking on our old house so I'd say it's a wash. I've been keeping my eye on the market and I haven't seen anything I like more in our new town. Prices aren't really dropping and rates are going up.
We closed April 2020 and definitely not, it’s perfect for us and we were at peak buying power (we sold our house before the brief initial covid price dip but got ours during the brief dip). My parents closed a year ago this week and my mom has massive regrets.
We bought in June 2021. I don’t regret it - we sold it in June 2022 and made 20%. We also sold right before the market cooled off so we just had really good timing. Thanks Army (for something good for once!)
We bought / sold in August 2021 and I feel so so fortunate for the timing. We sold our house for more than we were anticipating, got a deal on our current house, and wouldn’t have been able to afford our house with the current rates (we have a 2.87% 30 yr). Our house is our forever home (or until we downsize later in life) and I feel so lucky for how the timing worked out in our favor.

We bought in December 2021. We LOVE it. Zero regrets. H and I were talking the other day about how glad we are that we bought when we did. A lot of the funds that we used to purchase were in GBP if we were to try to make the same purchase today, we wouldn't be able to afford it.
The location is super close to work and school for me and the boys. It has an office for H who now WFH. We are in love with the neighborhood. I have said many times in the last 10 months that this move has been absolutely life-changing, in all good ways. And I also love the house itself.

We bought/sold in April/May 2021. I was reluctant to move to the town we now live in but I really love our house and our neighborhood SO much more than our old townhouse. Did we overpay? Maybe. We sold our townhouse for $100K more than we paid for it in 2015, so I think it evened out, especially when we consider how low our interest rate is.
I have gotten multiple letters (and a cold call last week) from realtors asking if we want to sell. No ma’am. It will take an act of God to get me to move again 😂
We bought in Sept 2020, and so far are very happy here. We love the location and the house itself.
We weren't in love with the previous home/location, so I'm glad DH and I had a totally out of the blue conversation one day about the possibility of moving. Things progressed quickly after that.
