My mom likes to sew clothing. Are there any good sites online for fabric? I want to get her a gift card. We only have the large chains really that I know of.
Farbic.com is an amazon company but I have had great luck with them. Fabric Wholesale Direct has great prices but they only stock fairly basic fabrics. There's a few small companies I get fabric from and I'm not sure if they even do gift cards, but my favorite is by far Dream Seams Fabric. That dives into the custom print/preordered fabric world though which you may not want to get into. Spoonflower gift card would be great, their fabric tends to be very pricey because it's all printed to order, but I can always find something I love there.
What area does she live in, could you find a local shop that she would love to get a gift card to?

she is in the same area as I am, and I haven't had much luck. Most of what I've found are quilting only which I don't think is the same as garment material?

Nope, quilting shops won't have what she needs. If she's willing to drive there's a wonderful fabric shop in Rockville called G Street Fabrics, and it's an absolute sewers dream. If I remember where you are it's going to be a long drive but doable for a special shopping trip.
Two of my favorite online fabric shops are Girl Charlee and Cali Fabrics. I’ve found fun knits in great prints/varieties, and they have some good deals and prices, too.
