One day Disneyland itinerary -what we did

Hi everyone -I’m writing this surrounded by three exhausted humans who all slept thru our alarm to get up for day two at DL before Oogie Boogie tonight so I figured I would share because I can’t believe how much we knocked out in one day even with a break.

First and foremost if you’re staying on site, use the monorail and not main gate to enter. You do miss the walk down Main Street but you also miss the huge lines. We got to the monorail at 7:25 because we underestimated how long it would take to clear security out of the Grand Californian (about 25 minutes). We were waking onto Space Mountain by about 7:35. The monorail ride also gave me a few minutes to buy our Genie+ and LL for Rise because we just didn’t want to fight the lines.

7:35 walk on space mountain
7:50 walk on Buzz Lightyear
8:00 walk on Star Tours
Make our way to haunted mansion for 8:05 to 9:05 G+ reservation.
8:45 Pirates (about 20 minute wait)
Head to Star Wars area and wander
9:50 Smugglers G+
10:30 Rise using LL
Wander and snacks
12:30 G+ thunder mountain
1:20 G+ Indiana Jones
2:00 lunch at Blue Bayou (meh)
Back to hotel to rest until about 5:30
Build light sabers at 6:30
7:08 walk on Smugglers Run (quoted 40 minutes and took 13)
8:00 Walk on splash (quotes 10 took about half an hour)
Start heading for main gate and decide to skip evening show because Al are exhausted

I will say I hated spending the money for the Rise lightning lane but I watched it all day to do again and it never dropped under 75 minutes and we just weren’t willing to wait that long.
