Last week DH and I were thinking about going to Barcelona for Spring break 3/18-3/25. I found United Economy (not basic economy) for $688RT with awesome times but didn’t book because we weren’t sure yet. Well now we are ready and they’re like $900+. In your experience will prices continue to fluctuate or should I just buy now? We can fly from CLE, Columbus, or PIT. Pittsburgh is the cheapest of them all. This will be our first European trip.
We decided on this because an AI in Cancun was going to be more expensive than Spain in total and we wanted to do something different.
I think almost every travel site has a flight price monitoring tool that you can use to get regular email updates on price changes. Kayak also has a tool that suggests whether you should buy now or wait for a better deal--it's not perfect and I'm not sure how the algorithm works but check it out.
We were just in Spain in April/May and had a great time--hope you do, too!
Prices will fluctuate but for me most of the time the earlier I buy the better. Use google incognito mode to search your flight and it will give you a rough idea on if prices seem high, average or low.
Spain in spring is gorgeous. It’s one of my favorite places to visit.
