Does anybody have Usborne book recommendations? Any fun books or real winners with your kids? My neighbor is hosting one of the online parties, and I feel like I should buy something…
My kids love the Shine A Light books! Specifically the human body one and the airport ones were hits. We've gotten them from the library.
My daughter mainly likes collecting the cards and organizing them a lot.
DS got this as his starter Pokemon set. It was great for teaching him how to play the actual game. But the decks are made for playing, not trading, so you'll get a bunch of repeat cards.
For only trading/collecting cards, I'd just grab a bunch of booster packs. Best Buy sells them for $4. You'll get a more random assortment of cards this way.

The pull back car/vehicle books are really fun for the toddler/preschool age if you have anyone like that on your list.
Thanks, everyone! I was overwhelmed by all the options on the site so your recommendations helped me narrow it down. Picked up books for both kids plus my niece.
For Lego deals, I use Zulily and @jessicanturner on Instagram has a link that takes extra off right now I think (in her stories).
If anyone sees a deal on Hot Wheels Ultimate Garage, please let me know! It was listed as the ONE toy excluded from the 25% off toy at Target coupon, of course.

I’ve seen a few Ultimate Garages pop up of my neighborhood B/S/T group. It might be worth looking to see if someone wants to offload one that their kid has outgrown!
I am on the search for some items on my kids lists and there are sales right now and I am trying to determine if I should buy now or wait for actual black friday/cyber monday to see if I can get a better deal?
The maxi deluxe scooters are usually $155 and they are $30 off and free shipping right now which seems good but will this get better?
Also there is 25% off one toy at target and I think I am going to use this on the our generation horse barn DD1 wants cause I think this is the best deal I will get on this.
Where is a good place to get deals on lego sets?
What deals are people looking for?
If you have a capital one credit card there is 6% cash back on Lego right now

My kids love the Shakespeare and Greek Myth books. They also like all of the “100 things to know about…” series.
Other favorites include:
Encyclopedia of world history Geography encyclopedia Big picture book of general knowledge
This looks awesome!!! I kind of want to play with it myself. I wish we had space for it indoors (where they wouldn’t wreck our house anyway). Debating buying and saving for DD1’s bday in May…
Does anyone have a tonie or yoto player? I'm leaning towards the Yoto if anyone has experience or sees a deal on it!
I have seen Yoto (Yoto Mini seems to be the choice among the ones I’ve seen) win a few of those comparisons. The Target 25% off a toy works on the Yoto.

It’s really fun, and also super light to move around. Cal has already moved it himself from our first floor to basement and back several times. We don’t have a ton of room either, so I get it, but I highly recommend!

We have a tonie. Don’t know much about the Toto (besides the insta ads) but we love the tonie! Some days my kid likes just playing with the tonies more than listening to them.

ah it's all sold out, but I'm going to keep watching it. Thank you!

DD got Yoto for her 3rd birthday. I was skeptical, but she loved it! She listened to it nonstop for months, but now it's hit or miss. I'm thinking about getting some new cards for Christmas.
soccermama - Lululemon usually does a Black Friday sale (although I feel like last year it was on the website on Thanksgiving). If you look at the “We Made Too Much” section, you can get a good idea of styles/prices. If it is a basic, like black, it usually doesn’t go on sale. But you can get some good deals in fun colors.
I have no idea what to get my 5 year old. We will also be out of the country on Christmas, so I’m thinking something small and then doing Christmas in January.
Has anyone seen a deal on Lego Advent Calendars? I got a great deal on one at Zulilly a couple of years ago. My son really wants one but they're so expensive. Kohls coupons don't seem to apply to any lego items.

Costco and Sams Club sells them but they're still $25-30

I just ordered the Lego City one from Target for 28
I just scored the AG ice cream cart, new in box on Mercari for only $31 out of pocket. I had over $50 from selling stuff, plus if you listed items over the holiday weekend you got a coupon and the seller accepted my offer for under retail.
Obviously this was a very specific item, but I always have quite a few second hand items for holiday gifts.

Does anyone have Warmies (the stuffed animals you heat up)? If so, are they a hit? My kids have 100000 stuffed animals and "want more", but they also love snuggling and towels fresh out of the dryer, so I thought this might be a fun version.

We got these for the girls last year. They warmed them up for about 4m then we sort of forgot about the warming feature. I think maybe we will get more use again now that its getting colder again.

I am not familiar with the brand, but A has a stuffed kitty with a "pocket" for a warming pad and she loves it. You can't put the stuffy in the microwave, only the pad, but it really does seem to warm the whole cat when it's been inserted.

i have one of these on C's wish list and wondered the same.
DS wants an electric guitar, but I'm not sure if we'll be able to find a great deal on that online vs. local store. My H was looking at one here in town and they are definitely $$$! Tack on lessons to that so he can actually learn to play.
I wonder if lulelemon ever runs good sales?! (probably not!) DD has a few of their items on her list.
DS plays guitar. He’s purchased a few used at Guitar Center and Sam Ash and is mostly self taught via You Tube. He actually hated lessons and learned more in his own. He was in middle school when he started teaching himself. Maybe see if any local stores have a used section?

Depending on how old your ds is, you might want to look at the Loog. It comes with instruction cards, an app, and online lessons. My kids love theirs.

My son also has 100000 stuffed animals, but fell in love with a Warmies bear at a store a few months ago. He wanted it enough to save up and buy it himself. The entire thing goes in the microwave which is a little weird from a cleanliness perspective for me, but it did hold warmth for a good while. This bear has (of course ) now fallen by the wayside for him but like someone else said, maybe winter will bring more use if I remind him.
If your kids love warm towels, I think they'll like them! I have seen the regular size Warmies around the $20 mark on Macy's site a few times recently.
