I'm looking for some comfortable almost-athletic shoes that I can wear with my stretchy black pants to all my kids sports' games in the colder months. In the summer I wear flip-flops or Birkenstocks. In the winter I often just wear my running shoes (Asics), but I'd like something slightly more fashionable. I had Allbirds but now those seem too old-person, and I'm not willing to spend the $400 some of the local moms spend on Golden Goose shoes. Any ideas?
Feel free to add your own item we can help you shop for to this thread
I really like Saucony "jazz" sneakers for games and being out in cooler weather. They're not dressy, but less clunky than running shoes. You could also search be Amazon for look alikes of the brand you referred to in your post.
Anyone know anything about video game systems? My kids want one. Mainly DS. I have no idea what to get. They have Nintendo Switches. But they want a bigger system they can play with friends.

mommyatty, Beau has an Xbox Series X, 1 TB. He plays Call of Duty, PUBG, and GTA with his family. A wireless controller and headset are also important (so I'm told lol).
k3am - honestly, my 13 y.o. DD1 just wants money to be able to go and do things with her friends. $30 would be a few lunches of pizza and soda on the weekend with her buddies.
I have some Cole Haan sneakers that I love. They look trendier but are super comfy.
For gifts in that range, my sister has given the kids a little wallet full of gift cards and it’s been a big hit. $5 to 5 Below, ice cream place in town, McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts, etc.
k3am, if you do Costco, you can get 4 $25 Nintendo or Roblox gift cards for $80. They also have boxes of 10 little Squishmallows for $21. Squishmallows are huge among the tween set here.
mommyatty, Roblox gift cards would probably be appreciated most by 3 of the 4 I need to buy for. (I can't buy Squishmallows though, since my kids would kill me for not getting them some, and we already have an excessive amount.
I really hate (but shouldn't) giving out money and gift cards. I know they're the color and size that always fits, but my mother broke me.
k3am, I also have a hard time giving $$ or gift cards. DD (11.5) is also horrible at spending gift cards as she hates to go out shopping, so they really don't fit her.
That said she got a mini purse style backpack that she loves to use when she goes out. You can find them at Ross/TJMax for under 10 and then put in a gift card or other little things. DD is asking for makeup, self-care stuff, hair scrunchies, fancy body wash, and her own coffee to go cup.
sdlaura, it was 25 this morning and I know about a dozen people who haven't given up their sandals yet. There are so many people who wear them year-round up here in Oregon. I told DD she couldn't wear her slides to gym last night.
