First, I'll start by saying my prerequisite: Cash or gift card is the gift you should give teachers. We do Target gift cards.
But I have a question. We're new to grade school. I'd like to give $5 gift cards to the "specials" teachers--gym,art,library,music. My kid is only in kindergarten so I think it's a little much to send one card each day of the week for him to give as he sees them through his week. Do you think I can drop them off labeled to the front desk at the school? I'm assuming teachers have mailboxes they can drop them into? Or is this annoying and I shouldn't? I really would like to not leave them out as I assume they get overlooked a lot.

Does target have e-gift cards that you can just email?
I also have a kindergartener and think I will go the virtual gift card route for the special areas. I don’t trust her to remember to bring them to the class - they have really strict routines in kindergarten t and having to go back to her book bag to get out the gift card in the middle of the day is something that would be really out of the ordinary.
I was wondering this also. I was going to get DS's specials teachers $5 to the local drive through coffee shop, but I don't know that I want to put it on DS to make sure they get delivered, and I certainly don't want to make more work for his teacher.
DD did this last year. We gave $10 Starbucks cards to all the teachers who taught her class (main teacher, assistant teacher, librarian, gym teacher etc). DD just took them to school and gave them to the main teacher who distributed them to the others.

Yes, I'm sure the front office can put them in the teachers' mailboxes for you.
I would be careful with e-gift cards. Our district's filters always send them to Spam, so they aren't always seen. I do physical gift cards for that reason.

I think front desk would be fine, as a classroom teacher I’d be ok with them in the folder for me to pass on (maybe with an email heads up to look for them)
I wouldn’t do email because things from outside our email network get blocked weird sometimes

Thanks all! I am going to drop off at the front desk a few days before break (we are walkers so I'm there anyway). I don't want to make more work for his teacher. His gift will go in the classroom folder.
Front office is perfect and I love that you include the specials teachers! They often are overlooked but do so much for the kiddos!
We always try to get a complete list and include everyone. It's hard sometimes to get it. At daycare when we ask the director we always have to be like "no--we want to know EVERYONE who touches my kid each day". They always hesitate to provide the full list. Even if it's just $5.

For daycare days I would do $10–$20 for main teachers. I would do a smaller gift card for helpers special to my daughter. Now that she is in school I usually do $20 Target or Starbucks for main teaches and school nurse (no idea why but my daughter seems to end up in the nurses office often), and smaller for specials teachers if I can get my life together to do all the labeling/cards.
I plan to get the target gift cards this weekend since they will be at a discount. I will also do a Starbucks gift card for the teachers who love Starbucks. I will do $10 for that since Starbucks has increased their coffee prices and five dollars isn’t gonna get a coffee nowadays.
I just put all the cards in my daughters school folder. She either delivers them herself to the specials teachers or her teacher will do it. Typically she’ll be the one to deliver it and leave clasd to go deliver her cards to her specials teachers.
