This is just so tragic.  CT has been trying to do something about wrong way drivers but since they are generally impaired it almost seems like a losing battle.  I'm so heartbroken for his family and sad at such a loss for our local government.

ETA: Info and work that's been done so far to try to combat the growing wrong way driver tragedies in CT.

i wonder if there is something about how flhighway on and off ramps are built in Connecticut. Around me, it would take a a lot of effort to make this error. On ramps are usually set up gentle and natural while entering a off ramp would require sharp, strange turns.

I am so spitting mad. I mean, I knew it was coming, but that doesn’t make it any easier. No income limits after 2 years (unless that changed since the last time I read the bill, which I doubt).

I hate this state. Such an embarrassment. Enough that we seriously talk about leaving. But then it’ll just get worse. I’m tired of fighting.

State legislative sessions are an absolute soul sucking nightmare this year. Almost 15 years in this sector and I can’t recall this level of chaos and mean-spiritedness. Heart out to anyone who is dealing with this personally or professionally. It is extremely draining. I feel so small and sad and ineffective. We are drowning in a wave of horrible bills in nearly every state.
