Yay! Thank you all so much for your advice. As a reminder, here is the before, from when we bought the house. It's hard to tell from photos but it was like a cardboard-ish panel of fake tile on the walls and ugly self-adhesive tiles on the floor. All the trim was this yellowish-cream color, and someone had used wood glue instead of caulk around the baseboards so there was this permanent yellowish line. :-P
Before (Seller's stuff):
And here is my final moodboard for the reno:
And here is the final result! It's a tiny room (4' x 4') so very hard to take pics but I did my best! It's also a gloomy day so the pics turned out a bit dark -- it's very light and bright in person.
I'm SO happy with how it turned out! Especially the very expensive marble mosaic tile I talked myself into ... I was worried it would not be as nice as I was hoping but it's absolutely beautiful, and has such an impact in that small space. It's like a work of art right in my house. :-)
I'm on the hunt for hand-towels that bring in some of the brighter colors from the art without being overwhelming, but otherwise I am DONE!

Oh I love it. It looks bright and fresh to me. The art, fixtures, tile, and medicine cabinet are beautiful. I see you chose white for the door, can't go wrong with that.
It’s so polished and lovely - that tile is a room maker!
Check out targets opalhouse line for towels, that have some nice saturated colors.
Ha, I was actually on the verge of ordering these from Opalhouse:
But then ordered some Turkish towels from online instead.
I think they may be too big though, I couldn't find that color in the small ones. I think the light grey is growing on me though so it may just leave it alone for now. I doubled the one on the towel ring by the sink before looping it so it fits better. :-)
I love it! Does the tile have white grout? As much as I keep trying to make white grout work for my house, my family has other plans.
It's Mapei's "Frost" which is a very light grey. I'm hopeful it'll be fine because 1. The dog doesn't go in there 2. We are a shoes-off family 3. It's just a powder room so we don't go in there if we're muddy or anything 4. We don't have little kids anymore
I have told my son, who is 14, that he's going to be banned from that bathroom if he doesn't pee VERY carefully though! Probably a good lesson in general.
I am also hoping to do one of those heavy-duty stone and grout sealers on this floor, our shower floor, and the marble counter in our bathroom before we leave for a long weekend.
Ok then yeah, not for us, lol. You’d think having all girls you wouldn’t need to worry about pee getting on the floor, yet…. Maybe when they are older!
I love the floor tile! I couldn’t get DH on board with that detailed of a pattern for any of our upcoming bathroom renovation floor tile.
Honestly, it's probably much better suited to be a wall accent or something but I just couldn't resist. We're going with something much more low-maintenance in the upstairs full bath renovation.
It looks fantastic! And I have to add that while I know the wall molding wasn't what you'd originally planned, I really like how it turned out and thinks it looks nicer this way.
I sealed my grey grout powder room floor and it has been fine for 10 years. While I don't have any kids or pets and we're also a shoes-off household, I do have plenty of male guests and never noticed a problem.
I was looking at the finished photos again and thought I should note the off-center window is barely noticeable with everything in place. It was just that mid-stream photo with the wall molding that made it stand out.
