Has anyone tried this? I keep seeing the ads and am considering it but it runs on the expensive side - $45 a bottle. Has anyone tried it and willing to give a real life recommendation on it?
I like it. It gives more coverage than I typically use on a normal day, so it’s not my “every day” foundation. When I do use it, I mix it with my every day stuff, which is the NARS Pure Radiant tinted moisturizer with spf. It wears well, and the color matching questions really did work for me. Si ce I don’t use it every day it’s lasted a looooong time.
i swear, these are like half of the ads I get on Facebook now. I love the fake surprised face the models all make - swipe on foundation, pause, shocked face, then continue happily applying.
I really like it! I usually just use tinted moisturizer/like a lighter look and I feel this goes on very nicely and has a smooth and light finish. I also have their power boost serum and really like it.

The match is very impressive, but I ended up returning it because it was a much heavier coverage than I wanted. But I'm a makeup minimalist and someone who is used to wearing more makeup would probably like it.
I got their concealer and I liked it enough. However, the cap/wand started to crack from normal use - probably within a month of when I started using it regularly and a couple of months after I bought it. Eventually, the whole thing just came apart. I reached out to them to see if they could send a replacement and the customer service was less than helpful. They wouldn't replace it because it was outside of their "try it for free" range (28 days I think) and gave me a $15 coupon code. I posted on IG and one of my friends said the same thing happened to their concealer. It would have been nice if they at least acknowledged that I wasn't asking for a refund because I didn't like the color or something but because the tube of expensive concealer was junk.

Oh, this is encouraging. I've wanted to try it for a while now, but I'm so hesitant about getting a foundation I can't try on first. Now I may go ahead and do it...
I have the Woke Up Like This foundation and love it. I had to exchange my first bottle for another color, but the new one is a perfect match. I like a full-coverage foundation in the fall/winter and then I switch to Maybelline Fit Me when it's warmer.
Anyone know how this wears on the 40+ crowd? Like - does it settle into lines or make dry skin look...drier?
I’m 45, and I find it has a good finish. I really prefer a no makeup look and don’t wear it every day (or any foundation) but when I do wear it I don’t think it looks noticeable or cakey in any way (to be fair I have oily skin - dry skin is not my issue). I use it sparingly and blend well with a beauty blender and feel it’s not that noticeable
I have it and like it. a little goes a long way unless you really like full coverage. I don't wear foundation on a regular basis but when I do, it's what I grab.

You forgot step one, which is swipe on a different foundation with a terrible color match at least 4 shades off, sad face, then the switch to this one..

I’m 48 and I think it does settle into my forehead lines if I apply it with a too heavy hand. I only use it as nighttime / going out makeup, and I thin it out a bit. I use a Senegence tinted moisturizer for my daytime makeup. (I know it’s an MLM, but I love this particular product.)

How could I forget?! There is one where the girl just keeps going with the bad color and looks like a straight up oompa loompa
Because of this thread, and because I'm a total sheep, I bought it and it just arrived. I am very pleased with it! It does match my color perfectly and it's the kind of coverage I like. It's not heavy to me at all, I'd say it's medium coverage. And it came with a free brush. Keeping it! Love it.

Consider me a sheep as well. I also ordered. I have a few big work events coming up and some big work zoom meetings so I wanted some new products to help look less haggard (although I love the zoom makeup touch up filter).
Baaaa Call me a sheep as well! LOL I’ve been thinking about trying this for when I want more coverage than my LM Tinted Moisturizer. Hopefully it comes in by the weekend so I can try it out.
Another sheep checking in. I really like it. I'm on day two. I think the color match is perfect. It was also slow to deliver and they sent me an email basically saying "we know we can't control delivery but here's 15% off your next purchase anyways".

Yet another sheep...I had been wanting to try it for a while and this thread encouraged me to finally do it. But I don't like it!
What exactly did those of you who do like it order?
I got the "Woke up like this" base foundation and "F*ck I'm Flawless" concealer. I did not buy their recommended primer.
The shades are a pretty close match (the foundation is *slightly* more orange than I need), but they are a much lighter coverage than I expected. I am someone who doesn't leave the house without wearing makeup, ever. If I'm just walking the dogs or running quick errands, I wear a light coverage foundation (tried to get away with just a cc cream or tinted moisturizer, but I find I need more than that to just even out my skin tone and feel good), so I go with something like L'Oreal True Match over moisturizer with a little concealer under my eyes. If it's a special occasion, I do the whole primer, foundation, concealer, setting spray and powder thing, and I use a heavier coverage foundation like MAC or Revlon Colorstay with Tarte Shape Tape concealer. And if it's something in between where I'm having skin issues and need coverage but don't want all the steps, I tend to use L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation.
I tried using the Il Makiage without any primer and using my makeup sponge 1st, which is what I tend to do for a regular day, and I'd say I got 'ok' light coverage, on par with the True Match foundation. The concealer really didn't seem to do much at all though, and I needed to do 2 applications of the foundation to get even light coverage.
The next day I did primer and used their makeup brush, and that worked a little better, but I still felt like I needed more than I'm used to using and still didn't get the amount of coverage I was looking for, especially for the amount of product I was using. And it definitely wasn't even hiding pores or fine lines or anything.
So overall, I like it well enough to not complain and try to return it and get my money back, but I won't be ordering it again or recommending it to anyone!
expectantsteelerfan , They sent me Woke Up Like This. I agree, it's not a lot of coverage. I'd say it's medium to light. I'm in a skincare group on Facebook and there's a really long thread about this foundation. It's seems evenly split on loving it/not loving it. This is not the only foundation I use, I also use Armani Luminous Silk and Clinique Redness Solutions (which I don't really need anymore but want to use it up). I use all three depending on what coverage I want. A lot of people in that group said it's too thick and cakes, and it's not that way on my skin at all. I"m wondering if there was a question on the quiz about coverage and sent different foundations accordingly, or if everyone gets Woke Up Like This?
I think it's totally understandable that you don't like it. And send it back! It's like, $45, right? I'd definitely send it back for that amount of money.
eta: One thing I absolutely hate is the bottle. I hate how you have to pull the top out with the attached stick. It's so messy and wasteful. They need to rethink that. It's a total PITA to apply.
I ordered and it finally arrived. I have used for two days so far. I like it but done love it, it’s much lighter coverage than I expected. I’ll give it some more time but right now I’m leaning toward keep this bottle but don’t reorder when I run out.
