... I need to get covid so I can be home for a week with a good excuse to do nothing. I've reached that point of life. I'd totally be okay with isolating in my room and feeling like crud.
I thought this too. Until it happened and I wasn’t able to just isolate in my room. Life kept going and I just had to do everything I always did while feeling like crud.
DH would step up. He's a rockstar. And I'd be the first one to say "screw skating, screw hockey, screw work, screw feeding the kids real meals, screw whatever is necessary, things don't have to keep going like normal."
Also to add.. this is my hypothetical wish. In my fantasy, I'm the one sick, not DH. Let me have my damned fantasy.
k3am - yeah, my DH is most definitely not a rockstar with stuff like that. He drove DD1 to school one day (dd2 was home with COVID) and kind of wanted a medal… and then told me he was too busy to pick her up. So that was awesome.
My SIL had thyroid surgery this morning (diagnosed with thyroid cancer in December). They removed just the right side and left the left, I guess. Pathology report will be ready within a week.
