My family meets up for an annual trip in March. In 2020, it was the very first thing cancelled (in my life) - for reference, DD’s school went remote the following Monday.
Well, it’s 3 years later and we just met-up and had a great weekend together. While eating dinner, I realized that 3 years later, we are all vaccinated, all had Covid, and all recovered from it.
Fuck.., do I restock tests now because coverage could end really soon? But, they tests will expire before the fall surge… ahhhhh!
I’d recommend going to a store/pharmacy to find tests with as late an expiration date as possible. I have a ton of tests that I got from my insurance directly that expire within a couple months of when they sent them (even with the updated FDA guidelines on when the tests expire). So this month, instead of ordering them through my insurance, I went to Walgreens and was able to get Binax tests that don’t expire until July 2024. The pharmacy was able to bill my insurance directly for them, so I didn’t have to pay upfront then wait to be reimbursed.
