I'm a glutton for punishment, and stay in bad situations far longer than I deserve. I stayed with a terrible GYN until they finally retired. That office called me today, about a year and a half after my last visit with a different GYN (who was awful), to tell me I'm on a waitlist for an annual check up, and offering dates for apts in a few months. I was super polite to the person calling, but it felt so good to say sorry not sorry I changed practices and had a hyster. I bit my tounge that if I stayed with that practice I'd still have issues, and probably need corrective surgery.
Eye dialation is the worst. I stay dialated for hours. Hope you feel better soon!
expectantsteelerfan There are a few different types of drops that they can use to dilate your eyes so maybe you got a different kind of drops than usual? It normally lasts about six hours for me but at my old doctor it was more like three.
Oh also, I ordered 3 dresses from Lulus for a wedding we're going to in April. One of them, I knew as I was putting it on that it was a bad idea because it was tight going over my shoulders, but I did it anyway and sure enough, I about had a panic attack trying to get out of it. I almost had to call H in to help me. But I managed to get it off by taking my bra off and then bending over and pulling it off over the back of my head. Did not choose that one.
This happened to me once and it was very much not enjoyable. The sense of panic and claustrophobia is real!
Ugh! I get home and my MIL informs me that she had her purse stolen out of her backpack while she was on the bus. What was in her purse? £200-300, diamond earrings (2 pairs), several rings and a bank book. What was also in her backpack? HER PASSPORT. FFS. Why the hell was she carrying all of that in her backpack? I mean...(*£&$%*(£).
My MIL told me that she carries her Social Security card with her. Umm why? And I think her passport card.
Oh and this is the woman who has left her purse at at least 5 restaurants over the years. I just shake my head.
There's an update to Halo today (any gamers here?) and it's so fun!
My eyeballs have been on fire all day. I've never had allergies this bad and I'm not a fan. I was afraid people would think I was crying in my meetings today.
TR and hermione , no clue, it's been 5+ years since DH did his. momin2013 , I'm hoping I can have something.
I'm going to bring it up/ask at the nurse appointment. I already have terrible veins because I had a platelet disease in college that required bloodwork a lot.
The worst part of my ablation was no coffee that morning. I was not a happy camper when I woke up and had the headache from hell.
I know the prep instructions vary, but I had mine in January and could have clear liquids (including black coffee) up to 3 hours before the procedure. They sent my instructions through the portal shortly after I scheduled the appointment. Good luck! I thought the entire thing wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined.

I tested positive for COVID for the very first time last Monday morning (symptoms started Sunday). I'm on day 9, had a pretty mild case (have felt fine since Friday), and am still testing positive with the rapid home test. I'm so sick of wearing a mask in the house and sleeping in the guest room!
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
I have been in grad school more than a year and I think this class might be the end of me. I should NOT have taken it because it started just days after my dad died but looking at the syllabus, I thought it was going to be pretty easy. And it is. But it also involves a group project that involves teaching a class jointly and 8 weeks of consulting with a recalcitrant client. It's over Sunday and it's not going to be a minute too soon.
I screwed something else up that is upsetting me. A few months ago a paper came home from school about little league signup. It said for ages 7 and 8 and listed a range of birthdays but I didn't really pay attention to that part. My kid is 6. The paper said "6 year olds may try out for ages 7 & 8 but must be able to hit 50% of balls and catch consistently." I saw it, and immediately was like nah, DS can't do that. Maybe if we work with him, but if he would go try out now he definitely couldn't. He is not particularly athletic (yet anyway). I knew that t-ball with our community center was advertised as ages 4-6 so I figured he'd do one more year of that first. T-ball signup comes out today, and the website says "for kids not turning 7 until after September 1." He turns 7 on August 22. So I guess according to those guidelines, he can't do that either. I should've had him try out for little league I guess, but I didn't know. Registration for little league is closed and practice starts soon. I truly don't think he's ready for that, I was wanting him to do another year of t-ball for just fun and learning the basics. IDK what to do now, but I feel guilty for screwing this up and I am sure that H, who is Mr. Sports, is not super pleased.
beerlover, I would contact the t-ball league about signing up. His birthday is only a week before the deadline. I have a feeling they will allow him to play.
jinkies, I'm going to. I just always feel weird about asking for special exceptions for stuff, especially when its b/c I apparently can't read directions.
beerlover I'm sure there are other kids in a similar situation. It wouldn't hurt to call and see what the league suggests.
I would guess that most are playing up, not down, but IDK. He's interested in baseball but he also probably wouldn't remember to ask about it if we never signed up, lol. Which is why I think t-ball for another year is probably a better fit. I know many here will say that he doesn't need a sport in K, but we really want him to do something active a couple seasons a year otherwise he really gravitates to too much TV/video games.
We weren't a baseball family growing up so I didn't know how any of this stuff worked. T-ball and little league are two different organizations and have different messaging and it's confusing.

Call and ask them what they recommend and if they have space! Most Rec leagues just want to get kids in to play. My ds3 is my 3rd kid through little league and he plays with kids 4-6. There are also 6 year olds on the division up.
