Is this new behavior for him? Is it unique to parenting your teens? Or does he have a history of lashing out at you and blaming you for other people and situations, too? When they were toddlers, did he think their toddler behavior was your fault, too?
I guess I’m asking for a frank assessment of his broader approach to stress and specifically to parenting and conflict.
My one thought is that hearing his kids now yell these totally typical teen things is hard and he doesn't want to be the "bad guy" or hear that his kid hates him so he is blaming you.
